This handheld sewing machine fixed my pants that is too long. I am 5 foot 7 and 165 lbs. When I buy pants, my pants is always 2 inches longer than usual. Before I had this sewing machine, I didn't know how to make the pants shorter. Now I know, because this portable sewing machine is easy to use, I just cut my pants 2 inches shorter, than I fold it back a little and use this machine to fix the edge of my pants. It is design for beginners like me, I just press the button, then I follow the edge of my pants and start sewing. Just let you know that It doesn't have a power cable that you need to plug it in, it is battery powered. I put 4 AA batteries in, and then I push the button, then the repair started. This machine is ideal for quick repair, and it comes with different color threads so that I can fix different clothes with various colors.

I got this handheld sewing machine mainly to patch small tears or fix loose hems when I don't want to drag out the full-size one. The kit comes nicely packed with lots of thread colors, scissors, and basic accessories that help for quick jobs. It does require 4 AA batteries (not included), and it's light enough to carry in the included case. After practicing on a few scrap pieces, I managed to get decent stitches on a cotton sleeve. It works best when you hold the fabric steady and go at a controlled pace. It's not meant for thick layers, but for simple fixes it does what it says. Looks like a good option to keep in a drawer or take when traveling.
