    • Ideal for small children
I booted this up and was surprised at the amount of effort went into some of these custom games. You will not find illegal copies on this device, at least I couldn’t, and each game is supposed to be made independently. Some are barebones and others have a certain element of passion, it’s a mixed bag. It’s comfortable to hold, but I would like to be able to set custom button maps although it’s not a big deal, I’m used to Xbox controller schemes so some button combinations confuse me. For a child though, a 4 year old, it’s not difficult at all! It’s amazing to see kids as young as my niece pick one of these up and have it completely figured out in a couple days. I plan to put some .gba packages onto it and see if I can play roms. I might get some use out of it myself if it’s possible, though the device hints at the capability of that. Super excited to explore more on it. The screen is decent but it won’t blow you away; this isn’t some 1920x3820 screen, it’s resolution is just as good as those old car head rest screens from early 2000’s. Then again all the games are pixelated intentionally, so I may be wrong on that front. 4/5 ... show more

I thought my 10 year old would enjoy this as an "old timey" alternative to playing Roblox and Minecraft on her iPad. She gave it a go, and tried a few different games and just didn't seem interested. The old graphics bring back memories for me, but I wish it came with a printout of all the available games. I don't want to scroll through the device to find a game I want to play. I will still hang on to it for road trips or vacations where her iPad dies or we don't have wifi and she gets bored. She might like it better than nothing! LOL! ... show more

A few pros for this device: 1. You have save states 2. A headphone jack 3. A nice form factor/ build quality for the price 4. TF card expansion capabilities Would like to have seen a few more recognizable titles on the main game list.
