It’s just something to keep you/kids occupied. I think it would be best for the younger children. The kids that just want to be engaged with something and may not be old enough to play big kid games but want to do what big kids do lol. Or just to keep them quiet in the car or while out and you don’t care if they leave/lose it accidentally. It’s actually really cute. No Wi-Fi needed. Gameboy reminding but color. Original Nintendo like graphics. It’s very basic, easy to use, about the size of my iPhone. There are SO MANY games! Too many if you ask me. So once you decide what your favorite game is, you have to scroll through like a million games to get to it. Also it comes with instructions, and the instructions tells you the types of games and that’s it. There are pictures of games but it doesn’t tell you the names of those games or what list they are in. There is one that looks like Tetris that I wanted to play. Couldn’t find it for the life of me. Obviously they don’t call it Tetris even though it’s clearly Tetris inspired. Out of 6 categories with like 10 or more games in each category……which one is it? I had to pick a category and go through them one by one to try to find it. Never did. Got frustrated and gave up. This is why I say it’s for younger kids…..they don’t care what they play. They just wanna play something. An older kid would get frustrated I think, and they know there are better games lol. The instructions and a charger is all that comes with it, and again the instructions don’t even give a description of the games or tell you how to play any of the games. You just gotta figure it out as you’re playing. There are only a few buttons, so you can figure it out after a few tries but I don’t even understand what the point of some of the games are even though they seem so simple. You move around and do stuff, but I don’t know what I’m supposed to try to accomplish. Am I doing good or bad?! You have no idea lol. They do have sports games like tennis, fishing, golf, curling, bowling, race cars etc. Those were pretty universal. I think you play those the same way on probably every platform. As an adult, I could play those in an airport to stay occupied for a while. I say airport and not plane because there’s no place for headphones to plug, and nothing saying it has Bluetooth capability. It does have volume so you could turn it down low, but I still think it’s rude to make people listen to your game, music, movie or whatever. So I personally wouldn’t use it on a plane. But if you have a kid…..Would other passengers rather hear low game noise or a kid whining and crying? I think they’d take the game noise lol. I could also just move through all the different game categories and see what they all are. That in itself would keep you a little occupied for a while. Is that fun? Depends on the person I guess. Not to me though lol. It would just be something to help endure the 2 hour layover lol. Save the book or movie for the actual plane ride lol. While I don’t think kids over about 7 or 8 (first or second grade?) would actually find it FUN, kids up to about 10 might tolerate it for something to do if they’re bored enough at say….the waiting room at the drs office. Waiting with you while you get an oil change. Some other super boring thing that they’d rather be doing anything else other than being forced to endure the quiet boringness of mundane adulthood. Like while you’re standing outside of a store talking to a friend and not actually going into the store, but already away from and locked the car, and you know they have nothing to do so they’ll just harass you or keep interrupting. They could pull it out and do something on that thing instead of having to listen to you talk about taking gluten out of your diet. Fidgety adults and those who can’t be bothered to just sit in quiet, adulty, boredom could use it…..but we have phones. We have social media etc so less likely to want something like this. But if you’re somewhere that your phone doesn’t work like idk…..in the middle of the ocean, camping, or on a plane or something, the sports games are mildly entertaining. So this isn’t useless, I think it’s just for very young children because older children tend to also have phones to play on.

It’s a lightweight device, fits nicely in your hands and is easy to hold. I’m not tech savvy as kids are, but I did figure out how to play the dart game, which is challenging and fun. I the buttons used to play the games could be simplified. The images are small and difficult for me to read, but children might not have a problem with the size of the screen. It plays music as you play. It definitely passes the time. Definitely give it a thumbs up. Nice stocking stuffer or gift for various occasions.
