This was a gift for my son for Christmas. He loves it and so do we! He is 8, and both myself and my husband were born in the early 80’s, so of course it’s nostalgic for us! We love playing it and I’m sure with such extended use, we will be needing more by the end of the year.

This system is made for one or two players. It contains a Game Boy styled handheld console for single mode and a second retro controller and RCA jacks to connect to the TV for two players. It charges via usb so it doesn't eat batteries and it plays a long time on a charge.

We have not hooked it up to the TV just yet, but it seems easy enough. My husband has been having fun playing with us. Every chance he gets, he says it brings back good memories. He says the visuals are great and usually uses it with the audio off.I like that it also comes with a separate control reminiscent of an old console I use to play on. I like how it comes with 400 games with many of them ones I use to play at home and in the arcade. I like the retro look and color of the console and the overall quality of it.

Relive your retro glory days or share some of your favorite retro games with your kids! The screen is clear and colorful. It’s a super lightweight plastic that’s quite easy and comfortable to hold for a while. (More lightweight than my phone!) Very simple and intuitive to assemble, I didn’t even have to look at the instructions to insert the battery and instantly turn it on and play.

I was born in late 90s. At that time, this kind of player was super popular. However, as computer games were designed, it’s hard to buy any of them. Even you could still get it on Amazon, they only have few games. I am surprised there are lots of games in this player. Those classic games brings my memories back and I can play it entire evening! I honestly just had a lot of fun playing games I haven’t seen for ages. There are a TON of games- I look forward to trying them all out. I was originally going to give it to one of my kids, but now I’m not so sure! I’m shocked and pleasantly surprised that something like this is so affordable. Might need to get a few of these.
