  • Master-Selected Solid Tonewoods:SYLVATA select series is born from naturally seasoned solid spruce and maple. Unlike a mini violin or mass-produced plywood, this full size violin features a hand-carved solid body that provides superior resonance and a broad dynamic range. The straight, even wood grain and high-density fibers ensure highly sensitive response and a clear, powerful tone that elevates every performance.
  • Artisan Hand-Workmanship & Gradient Finish:Every violin 4/4 full size instrument is a masterpiece of precision. Following traditional Italian proportions, our luthiers hand-polish each curve to within a 0.1mm error range. The stunning gradient tiger-striped finish is applied in multiple thin layers to allow the wood to breathe, ensuring that whether you play classical sonatas or modern practice pieces, your violin full size looks as soulful as it sounds.
  • Professional Grade Ebony Appointments:Experience the touch of excellence with an authentic Ebony fingerboard, pegs, and tailpiece. These dense, premium materials offer unparalleled durability and tuning stability compared to standard violins. • Surprisingly good backup/travel violin
I needed a cheap backup for the office and travel. It has a surprisingly warm tone and feels nice to play. I threw on some D'Addario strings, and it sounds incredible for the price!

    • Great Violin Starter Kit – Beautiful Gradient & High Quality!
I ordered this SYLVATA Full Size Violin Set as a beginner looking to finally learn how to play, and overall, I am super impressed with what you get for the price! The solid wood construction feels sturdy and genuine, and the handcrafted gradient finish looks absolutely stunning in person—it really has that custom, high-end look that makes you want to pick it up and play. The kit comes loaded with everything you need to hit the ground running, including a case, shoulder rest, tuner, and fingerboard stickers (which are a total lifesaver when learning finger placements!) The only reason I’m knocking off one star is the setup process. As a beginner, getting everything put together—setting up the bridge, tuning the strings from scratch, and dialing in the tension—was a bit tricky and challenging. I eventually realized it’s best to take it to a local music shop or a professional to get it properly set up and fine-tuned for the first time. Once it's tuned and ready to go, it offers fantastic value, great sound quality, and looks amazing. If you're an adult beginner or student looking for an all-in-one fiddle set, this is definitely a great kit to start your musical journey! ... show more

    • Perfect beginner violin! Great value for the money
Bought this 3/4 violin for my 10-year-old daughter. I wasn't expecting much at this price, but the craftsmanship is nice and the sound is loud without being screechy. Fantastic starter instrument!

    • beautiful instrument -- recommend restringing....but, great for beginners.
This is receiving 4 stars based on how it was promoted when I received. I am glad to see that the seller has updated their listing. Initially, this was called a "Professional" violin kit. It is far from that. I do agree that it is elegant. Aesthetically, this is amazing, and for $130, I find it a fair deal (not fantastic but fair). For a beginner violinist, this is a great option as it comes with the case, which can be pricey sometimes. This isn't easy to tune - and the inclusion of budget strings was not a good choice in my opinion. That was my main beef with this being called Professional. The seller seems to be listening to feedback as it no longer says it's Professional in the title. The videos included on the page are great and the added tuner was a nice touch. We will restring this and get some good use out of it. ... show more
