I suffer from sore and achy joints in my hands and for a while now I had been thinking about getting some hand warmers, not because I thought they would cure my aches and pains, but because I hoped they might provide some measure of relief. Well, I finally took the plunge - and I am very happy that I did! These warmers ship in a plain black cardboard box inside an illustrated cardboard sleeve. The box contains the warmers [each in a simple paper wrapper], two short USB-C charging cables and a simple instruction booklet. I confess that my eyesight isn’t what it used to be, so I had a bit of trouble reading the instructions; in the end, I had to take a picture with my cellphone and zoom in to read better, but the warmers are very easy to use: - Hold the button for two seconds to turn on the warmer - Click the button once to see three blue lights: 60°C - Click the button twice to see two blue lights: 50°C - Click the button three times to see one blue light: 40°C - Hold the button for two seconds to turn off the warmer The remaining power level can be checked if the warmer is on or off by simply double-clicking the power button: - One flashing blue light = 33% power remaining - Two flashing blue lights = 66% power remaining - Three flashing blue lights = full power Out of the box, both warmers in this set had three flashing lights, so I didn’t have to charge them and was able to use them right away. The first thing I noticed when I first turned on the warmers is that they get very hot very quickly! I had them on the highest setting and almost immediately I had to turn them down to the lowest setting. When they had cooled enough to hold, I discovered they felt great in the palm of my hand. As expected, they don’t cure my aching joints, but as hoped, they do provide some ease. I live in a hot climate and I can’t imagine that I would ever need to run the warmers at full power, but I can definitely see how they would be invaluable for people living in colder climates, especially when doing outdoor work; they will fit in any pocket and provide an instant blast of heat. They are ideal for me when I’m just sitting at home, watching television or reading in the evening; one charge should last about a week - obviously, the more you use them, the more frequently you’ll have to charge them. If I’m going out at night, I’ll slip them into my bag, and I’ll definitely pack them in my carry-on luggage when I travel, because sometimes planes can be chilly. I don’t think that my hands are particularly small and one of these warmers fits snugly in my palm; but these warmers are magnetic, which means they can be joined together to make one bigger warmer for people with larger hands. [It also means that I could put them on the fridge with all my other magnets, so I would always know where they are!] One further note: even though these warmers are not squeezable and have no moving parts, they could be used as a fidget toy or stress reliever, since they feel good in the palm of the hand: not as dynamic as a spinner or a clicker, for example, but they might just be what some people need to help them focus. In short: I’m sorry I waited so long to get a pair of hand warmers, but I’m very happy with these - and I will use them every day.

For safety purposes I would definitely recommend using these with gloves of some sort because I genuinely believe these could potentially cause burns of some sort. Very handy little devices to have in your bag during the winter months. The red side of the heaters is what gets warm and they do take a short period to get to the intended temperatures. They charge via USBC which is a very accessible wire type but also comes with two cables anyway, only downside is their length being so short.
