This gadget has the wrong description. It does have a hamstring type bar, but it does not work out your hamstrings. It anchors under the door to use as a brace for abdominals. It comes with a little pamphlet showing a few possible exercises, but it is really for abs. If this had a stretchy band and a way to detach from the strap, then this would be nice for hamstrings, but as it is, you cannot use this for hamstring exercises.     • Works surprisingly well
I was expecting this to be kind of flimsy, not comfortable, and feel sketchy against hollow core doors. I was pleasantly surprised that this actually works really well, especially for Nordic Hamstring Curls. There's plenty of strap to adjust for any length that you need, and the foam pads feel very comfortable against the Achilles tendon. The density and softness of the foam knot holds very nicely against the door and does not appear to put much pressure on the door that would damage it. The buckle does hold the adjustment nicely, but the grip side is cut large and seems to let the fabric move too easy, so it's possible there might be issues with it keep grip against the fabric as everything wears. The build quality of all the parts is very nice and sturdy though. Doing sit-ups with this works as well, but I prefer having my feet flat on the floor when doing sit-ups while this only allows the feet to be upright against a door and held. My only minor complaint is there's a lot of extra length of strap for adjustment. For against the door stuff, you only need about a foot of length, but there's around 3 feet of adjustment length. I'm sure there's a use for the extra length, just not sure what. The extra length is just a minor annoyance. ... show more

    • Adjust by matching the strap length to your foot length. It works great!
It took me a minute to figure out exactly how to use it, but I saw a method where you match the strap length to your foot length (with shoes on). Place your foot with your heel at the bar and your toes at the small foam cylinder. Shorten the strap until your heel touches the bar at the same time your toes touch the cylinder. Clamp the teeth down to set. That's it. The small foam cylinder part goes under a door, or between french doors, etc. Put your feet to the door, with the bar across the tops of your feet. You probably want a mat under your knees and for your hands because if your hamstrings are like mine and you haven't done this in a spell, you'll fall down onto your face, and it will hurt. It's hella effective, too—you don't have to do a ton to get a good workout. I was shocked at how well it worked and how sore my hamstrings were not long after. Make time for walking funny so you're not stumbling into meetings and important lunches. The strap is thick and holds up well. And since it rolls right up, you can pack it for vacation or other places. It does exactly what you need it to. ... show more
