I just got into homemade bread and the bread knives I have rip and tear the precious bread that I have slaved hours to make. I wanted a knife that could do the job and not break the bank. Happy to report that this knife takes good care of "my precious" bread and able to slice thin slices without tearing into the loaf. The blade is solid and sturdy for the price, and better than knives I looked at brick and mortar stores for double the price. The handle is sturdy. I don’t like how long and bulky the sand is. The knives are good quality and sharp, however they rust in the dish washer! They stay good when hand washed though.

This is a great knife for the price. It’s nice and sharp. I should have expected it to be too good to be true (and it was) for being so inexpensive, but sometimes you can be pleasantly surprised. Well, not this time. The first time I used it, I put it in the sink to wash. Surprise… rust spots appeared where some water droplets had come in contact with it. It was recommended that you hand wash it, but I didn’t expect rust to appear so quickly. I had planned to hand wash it, but not immediately. So FYI: Don’t let it sit in water, it has to be hand washed and dried soon after use unless you want a rusted mess… ... show more
