I have been considering this purchase for about a year and finally pulled the trigger. Glad I did. It is a simple, classic watch. Well suited to dress up or as a casual wear. Of my collection it is the easiest to read. 42mm is my sweet spot for size. The leather strap was a little stiff at first, but fine after flexing it a bit. It shipped quickly and was well packaged. My collection of 30+ watches spans from G-Shock to Rolex. This watch is in my top 5 for aesthetics. I believe Hamilton is good quality for price and own several. This watch works great and also looks great. It's really fun to have a watch that was featured in one of my favorite movies, Interstellar. Also the bracelet is super comfortable. Out the box I bent the bracelet in just a little to get a good shape around my wrist. Also people seem to complain about no AR on the crystal but it's not even noticeable until you are maybe trying to take a photo of it. Beyond that you don't notice it. Even Rolex only has I think 2 watches with AR crystal. So it's nothing to worry about. The lume is also really nice and can even hold its own to watch lume like Citizen watches have. Lastly, it's hard to argue with how great the cathedral hands on this watch look. Great watch, absolutely great purchase. ... show more

Love the watch, it’s really stunning, I think for that price, I’d like at least a day, date, or day/date feature, but that’s my only complaint. High quality strap, hands are stunning, luminescence could be better, but it’s nice. Again, great piece of cinematic history and I love it! If you’ve got the change and can get it on sale, totally worth it. Def wouldn’t pay full retail though. ... show more

I absolutely love this watch. It’s gorgeous in an understated way. It is pretty much spot on accurate. I’m running about +1 second per day compared to the atomic clock. Drawbacks? Well it is water resistant to 10 bar = 100m = 330 ft. But, the crown is not screw down. And, there is no AR on the crystal. If Hamilton fixed those things, this watch would be absolutely perfect - at least to me. Please note that these are minor drawbacks. Overall, this is an awesome watch. Also, please note that my photo does not picture the factory strap. I love the factory strap but wear this watch every day. To preserve the original strap, I bought a similar aftermarket strap for everyday wear. ... show more

The watch is just as pictured, fantastic. like... No date, easy to read, perfect size, great value. The reason for the four stars is the strap. Not what I would have preferred on this type of watch and the quality is pretty poor. I waited to order straps until I had seen the watch, in case of a return but, it's fantastic, I plan to keep it and the straps will be here tomorrow. If you're used to quartz watches, don't try to figure out how accurate it is, it doesn't matter. -Update: After a couple of days and finally getting a replacement strap I'm convinced that the 4 star review was just. Now I can add how comfortable the watch is with a different strap. The watch itself is easily a 5 star item that I highly recommend. ... show more

A beautiful classic watch. Even if the watch wasn’t tied to Interstellar, it would still be a great timepiece to own. So happy I bought the 42 as the 38 seemed too small for my wrist.

At 42mm I thought it would be too big for my relatively small wrist. Surprisingly, it is not. The design of the Murph balances the width with the lug-to-lug length. It’s thickness is also reasonable. Turns out that it wears great! I immediately got a NATO strap and put away the original leather. I use the gray 22mm Hamilton NATO which feels great. Overall, I’m very happy with this watch. I have two other Hamilton watches. Khaki field mechanical. Khaki field mechanical with date complication. Last thing, my Murph is 3-5 seconds slow per day, based on two weeks of use and two separate resets. ... show more

Missing items in box that doesn't appear to be correct. Strap is garbage. It's too short and ridiculously stiff. First and last Hamilton I will ever purchase.
