These are the best ceiling lights. They sit flat against the ceiling no bug eye look. They are dimmable and easy to replace. I had them installed in my last home. When I moved in this home, I had the contractor bug eye ceiling lights replaced with these. So much better.

There are so many of these disc lights out there it's hard to rate one over another. But these, from name brand Halo are NOT temperature selectable like most of the others-though Halo does have them as well This model is 3000K, which is fine for a living space such as a den or family room, but I would want a little hotter for a work area like a kitchen. In the bulk pack here, these are $13.31 each, but for less than half that you can get similar lights that you can change the temperature on. The listing says these are dimmable and suitable for wet locations. I like the mounting clip on these since they should work better in thick ceilings like mine. For the extra cost you get a name brand and a 5 year warranty from a company that has been around a while.-take that into consideration when shopping. ... show more

Never had an issue with Halo lights and have only used this brand for years. Saw this bulk 24ct contractor deal on amazon and it is much cheaper than buying from Home Depot. First 2 out of the box had a bad transformer. 3rd and 4th and 5th worked fine. 6th was also bad so I decided to box it all back up and send it back. These are clearly not the same quality that I expect and am use to from Halo. When you factor in the inconvenience, these actually cost more than buying from the big box. ... show more

Halo lights are excellent. The four inch versions arent what I would use for main lighting though. They arent as bright as you would expect and so you would need to install more of them, making installation harder and having too many fixtures in the ceiling than whats asthetically pleasing. But for a hallway or accent lighting they are perfect. Plug one in to an rough wire before beginning install to get an idea of how bright they are. ... show more

We installed the 12 pack of LED lights in our pool/sun room with a dimmer switch. They provide wonderfully comfortable 3000 K lighting which can be adjusted with the switch. Bright, but not harsh 3000K temperature lighting down to a dim almost candlelight brightness for special occasions. The wire-nuts provided in the pack were a bit small for multiple wires, so I replaced them with larger ones to secure the connections.
