When my original aeration pump failed, I was shocked to find the cost was nearly that of the full system. After some research, I picked this pump. It is smaller dimensionally and required some creative engineering to fit into the old box and connect to the distribution piping, but not terrible. Picked up a few pipe fittings and modified the old plumbing. My main complaint is the use of 1/4" 24 threads in the base - it is nearly impossible to find these threads on bolts today. The pump is working very well after two weeks of continuous operation. It is actually quieter than the original pump. I am very satisfied with it. ... show more

Easy to put together. Pump is quiet and pushes plenty of air. Model i ordered comes with enough ports of 3 aerators. First shipment was damaged and had missing equipment. There customer service was excellent and sent a replacement asap.

This unit was plug in ready. My last pump had external wiring and I had to get a run capacitor and water proof the start assembly just to install. This one just plugged in with no fuss connecting hoses and it’s much quieter. Hopefully it lasts as long as the original. 4 weeks installed and going great ... show more

Purchased and installed pump in July 2022. The aerator froze up on 20 march 2023. Contacted customer service in the morning and they had a replacement aerator shipped to me that afternoon! Received the replacement aerator 2 days after the other one quit!

The system worked well for 5 months, then compressor/pump caught on fire and completely burned up. Half Off Ponds (seller) claims this was due to electrical supplying the pump, but everything was installed by a licensed electrician. This was a failure of the pump and safety features within. I have had this all reviewed by the electrician. Half Off Ponds is not honoring the warranty on the pump. Very disappointed and dissatisfied. There was another review with a fire as well. We had a similar unit that ran 24/7 for 3 years before being damaged ( my fault ), moved up to this bigger pump and WOW does this thing put out the air. We use this in an industrial aeration tank and it puts out more than our Big Blowers. Unit is solid, quiet, and should run for years.     • Quiet Power - Failed After a Year

Edit: this pump motor failed after a year. I contacted the seller and started down the run-around replacement path but it didn’t seem like anyone cared about troubleshooting the actual issue-they wanted me to send pictures and they outlasted my willingness to screw around with a week in between unhelpful emails. I’ll keep trying to find a solution elsewhere. Original review…. I bought this pump to replace a previous compressor pump that we had been using for about three years to aerate our pond. The prior pump worked well but I found that I needed to rebuild it about every 12 months. Before I could rebuild it the last time, it failed and I don’t know enough about motors to try and fix it so I just replaced it. What I didn’t expect is how much more powerful and, most importantly, how much quieter this pump would be. I have the pump in an enclosure on the backside of our pond. The prior pump was definitely audible anywhere in the vicinity of the pond. This pump is so quiet that you have to be fairly close to the enclosure to even hear it. It seems to be doing a great job and I will update this review as time goes on but I am thrilled so far at the two month mark. ... show more
