  • Runs like a champ
I run this all day and night since I bought it, in a humid environment. No problems. Im using it to power an air lift system for my aquaponics and at 43w, its enough power to keep my 300gal tank well circulated. I expect diaphragms to bust within a year, but so far, so good.

  • It's a Solid Pump
I have this pump hooked up to a homemade solar aeration system on my fishing pond, and it's been running for nearly 2 and a half years with no problems. It's also very quiet for how big it is. I running it in about 14 feet deep. I like the fact that it has a cast iron body. I highly recommend this pump if you have a pond like mine. ... show more

  • running great so far to aerate a 1/2 acre pond.
No inrush current problem. starts right up and does a good job on my solar powered aerator.

  • Very impressive!
Bought it in 2016. I should have done the diaphragm replacement more often (they recommend once a year). The date today is July 2023 and I replaced the diaphragm once when it failed and the second time it failed (today) it destroyed itself. It ran 24/7/365 outdoors in Ohio but was protected from the elements. My pond depth is 9 ft and it ran two bubblers. Models #HK-60L. Buying another for sure! … Do the maintenance! ... show more

Awesome pump! I bought two for my pond and have been running them continually for a year now, with no issues!!! This puts out a bunch of air with the diffuser submerged in deep water

  • Don't be fool with their 3 years warranty.
I wish I can rate this as 0 star. Don't be fool with their 3 years warranty. Less than nine months of using, the pump stop working. Try to contact Hakko via email no responded. After several calls I finally got to talked to Hakko customer service just to found out the Diaphragm is parts of mechanical movement which will wear and tear and will not cover. So I am pretty sure the the only thing they will cover with their 3 years warranty is the air pump cover. That the only none moving part of that device I can think of. ( or prehap some of the screws those are not moving) By the way their Diaphragm Kits cost double or triple of other manufacture pump. I personal prefer AP100 over this. with average 1,5 to 2 years for the diaphragm replacement. And the cost is 1/2 to 1/3 cost of Hakko. ... show more

  • Good Value @ 10" depth
I use it to aerate a 10.5" deep in ground swimming pool that I have converted into a fish pond. I find it does a great job at 10" depth putting out a lot of air. Rather than using a aeration stone to disperse the bubbles, I use a circular plastic lawn sprinkler that cost $5.95, and find that works great. The pump does run hot on hot days, so the cast iron outer casing is important and I keep it shaded from the sun. It did shut down once that I know of apparently due to heat, but started back up after it cooled down. I run it 24 hours per day, and find it a good value after about eight weeks of use. ... show more
