Not the best hair straighter iron, needs more heat, it works on my hair because I already have straight hair and I do not need much heat but If you have ticker or curly hair it doesn't work really well, I think is not worth the price!

I have been looking for a new hair straightener. Mine is over 15 years old now and it is time to upgrade. This is about the 3rd or 4th one I have tried. In trying out this hair straightener: This is a very basic hair straightener. Taking it out of the box, I don't see any buttons to turn on and off. I realize that the button that releases the paddles is the on and off button. I slide the button and it starts heating. It tells me that the iron is set for a certain temperature. I look all over it. I read the directions. I can't find a button to turn up the heat. It is supposed to heat in 20 seconds. After about a minute, the iron is just reaching hot. I try it in my hair. No frizz and it softly straightened my hair. In describing how it is made: It feels like this is for a child to play with. It has a hollow feeling. It doesn't slide through my hair as easily as I would like. Before I started writing this review, I read the product page. It reminded me why I wanted to try it. It has tourmaline ceramic panels. It shows you can change the temperature. I plug it back in and start looking how. There is a button on the inside of the straightener. Press it and the temperature on the temperature panel starts going up. There is no timer on this straightener. This is a huge negative for me. One of the key features I am looking for is a timer so it shuts off on its own. Though I always turn off my straightener, I have come home many times or made a second trip back in the house before leaving to make sure it is shut off. 3 stars: This is satisfactory. These are decent flat irons.. nothing out of the ordinary. I don’t think they are the best for curls I would just buy a separate item for that.

The media could not be loaded. I like that is lightweight and easy to hold, it has a holder in the tip of the iron which is helpful at the time of doing curls. It has different power levels that you can change with the inner button, if it is hot and you turn it on, the temperature keeps displaying. Easy to handle. First, I tried one side of my hair straight and the other curled, but I don’t like the result, you have to select very tinny sections of hair to be able to straighten or curl, if you select small, medium, or bigger you won't get good results, which is time-consuming. This is a decent flat iron, but I'm not sure on what planet you can use this to curl your hair too, it's not 2 in 1, it's a flat iron...period. You plug it in and it starts on the lowest temp which is a weird 338. It has 5 settings which you adjust by pressing a button INSIDE the flat iron. Yes, you have to stick your finger inside the flat iron and find the button to press to advance the temperature. It's not hot in this spot but it's crazy to put a button on the inside. Not sure what they were thinking! Basically this will straighten your hair, but it's certainly not the best one I've ever tried. Thanks for reading my review ... show more

I got this for my wife, and she is pretty satisfied with it. First of all, a few of the reviews have inaccurate information. There is a temperature control. It is on the inside of the handle, which is nice because it makes it harder to accidentally change the temperature while in use. You can turn this on and off, but it is true the instructions are not very clear on this. Overall, it is a very simple, straightforward flat iron. No bells and whistles. It's $24 right now, which is fair price for what you get. Side note - If you curl your hair with a flat iron, this is pretty good because the whole barrel is curved and won't kink your hair. Comes with a protective "heat" glove, which I guess is a nice little touch. One potential con is this is on the smaller side, so you have to use it on smaller sections of hair. Bad if you want to move fast, perhaps good because you might be able to get a better effect. It's nothing fancy, but will get basic jobs done for a decent price. ... show more
