Bought on a whim! The price was too good! I had been wanting to try this type of straightener for a while but felt it wasn't worth the risk of return at higher prices. Well, I can tell you I like it and will keep. Now keep in mind I just did a smoothing treatment so any tool will work well right now. But this thing is qaulity for sure! Its packaged well. It appears to be well built and has durable plastic and metal components. It has just enough weight without being too heavy or awkward. It also gets very hot for a tool that tops out at 400 degrees. Very impressed with qaulity here. There's a bit of a learning curve because it straightens best by going on top as well as under each section and making sure your strands are going through the teeth. You can easily get your roots and even add a bend on the ends and do swooping to the sides if you like. I have hair past my waist but mainly plan to use to touch up roots. The only down side is waiting for it to heat up. You will see it blinking longer than you're other hot tools take (so 4 stars). All and all this is a lovely version of an upgraded pressing comb! Nice!

This hair straightener works well. It works for all hair types. I have thin hair and I use it. It plugs right in and heats up fast. It is easy to use and does a good job. I feel it is a little bulkier than I’m used to but that’s a me problem. I would recommend this as the price is good.

I have thick, dry, 2C/3A wavy/curly hair that turns into a giant frizz ball when hit with any significant humidity. I had blown out my hair the other day, and, while still technically straight, it was dull and puffing up. In these circumstances, I usually either hit it with my wide flat iron or re-wet it and blow it out again. Enter this straightener brush. With my type of hair, I went straight to the maximum heat setting of 400 degrees. I took thick sections of hair held taut in one hand and ran the brush slowly on the underside of each section with the other. I found it a bit challenging at times, especially when working on the back of my head, both to make sure the brush side (rather than another side) was fully contacting my hair and that I wasn’t accidentally pressing buttons on the handle. (I ended up turning it off once.) In the end, this straightener brush did a good job of smoothing and re-straightening my hair, hopefully with a bit less heat damage than had I used my flat iron. While I think this brush would work quite well for less troublesome hair types than mine, I’m not sure it would work on mine if it was at the full frizz explosion stage. Nevertheless, it will be useful for quicker jobs like that for today.
