I had high hopes for this as the design seems like it would work. This one just kind of works. The two arms are supposed to swivel together and lightly hold the hair as you slide it down. The problem is the two arms don’t come fully together. There’s a gap that is just too wide near the bottom of the arms. This leaves the hair frizzy. I tried holding the arms together with one hand while sliding it down my hair. This worked sometimes and sometimes I couldn’t get the right angle to squeeze. Not to mention that it got a bit too hot to keep trying to manually squeeze the arms together with my hand. I tried it several times holding it in different places. Like I said, I really wanted it to work. I’m not sure if it’s the design or the fact that it’s off brand. Definitely not worth the money. The straightener that comes with the wrap is definitely better.

I have naturally curly hair, but it is fairly thin. This didn't even come close to straightening my hair. I have tried it three times and watched videos about it, but it still doesn't work. It just leaves my hair puffy and frizzy.

I only got my Airwrap ID about a year ago, and when the new Co-anda version came out, I seriously debated buying that one too. There were a few of the newer attachments I really wanted to try, especially the air smooth attachment. But since I had just purchased my ID, I decided to wait. I’ve picked up a few third party attachments from another brand before that ended up working out great, so when I saw this DrFlito Hair Smooth Attachment compatible with the Dyson Airwrap, I really wanted to give it a try. I have to admit, I was not expecting it to work as good as it does. Obviously with third party attachments I am always a little nervous, but this one completely exceeded my expectations. The overall feel of it is good quality and well made. Honestly, it feels just like the one that comes with the Co-anda version. It lined up perfectly and securely locked into place on my ID and did not come out until pressing the unlock button, which made it feel just as secure as the original attachments. As soon as you turn on your Airwrap, one side clamps down and the air flows out the other side. It actually works so well. The airflow is strong and consistent. It does not feel like any of the air is restricted or not coming out like it should. It smooths the hair as you glide it down, helping reduce frizz and flyaways while giving that sleek, polished finish. Obviously it’s not the same as using a flat iron, but when I used it on damp hair, I was able to get my hair pretty straight as it dried it. Even when my hair was already dry, it helped smooth everything out and make it look more finished. It’s a great option if you want that straight, blowout look without adding another hot tool into the mix. One thing worth mentioning is that the outside of the attachment does get pretty hot when using it on the high heat setting. Even on the lower heat setting, the exterior gets warm. So I do wish there was the clue lines like on similar attachments where it shows you exactly where to hold. This one still has a cool tip and it able to be held at the very top if the plates, just not marked so its known. It’s not really a huge deal since that is normal, even for the one that comes with the airwrap, but it’s something to be aware of. At the current price of $39.98 (as of 1/26/26), I think this is a good value when comparing it to similar attachments and in line with what I would expect to pay. Considering the cost of upgrading to a whole new Airwrap just to get one attachment, this makes a lot more sense financially. I am so glad I decided to get this instead of spending hundreds of dollars on a new machine. Overall, I am extremely happy with this DrFlito smooth attachment. It fits securely, works exactly as it should, and gives a sleek, polished finish without needing additional tools. It truly exceeded my expectations. If you have an Airwrap or an Airwrap ID and have been curious about trying a smoothing nozzle without upgrading your entire device, I highly recommend this one.

I recently tried this product and was very disappointed. Despite carefully using it on small sections of hair, it did absolutely nothing to improve my hair’s appearance. The airflow seems misaligned—almost as if it blows straight out instead of targeting the hair properly. My hair remained frizzy and completely unsmoothed. The only positive aspect is that it fit securely into the Dyson and didn’t come loose during use. Overall, I do not recommend this product.
