As someone who is formally trained and professionally licensed in cosmetology — although I no longer actively practice — I was honestly very surprised by the quality of these for the price point. The scissors feel much better in the hand than many inexpensive shears typically do. The cutting motion is smooth, the thinning shears remove weight evenly without feeling overly aggressive, and the overall kit feels more professional than I initially expected when ordering. The blades arrived sharp, properly aligned, and comfortable to work with, and the tension felt balanced right out of the package without immediately needing adjustment. For basic cutting, blending, texturizing, maintenance trims, and even light professional-style use, they perform quite nicely. The kit also arrived packaged well with everything intact and protected during shipping. Considering the low cost compared to professional salon shears, the value here is honestly impressive. They worked great once I carefully filed off spur edges on the thinning shears, before I did they wouldn't close as they were catching, very frustrating. They are very sharp and don't feel flimsy, I think will do they job nicely from now on.

These scissors are high quality and super sharp. Even with a blunt edge I managed to slice up my hand pretty well, so be more careful than me. I cut my own hair with these and they did a great job. They are sturdy and made of great material.
