I generally use shears to trim my bangs and to clip odd strays that got missed during official trims. These are slightly blunted at the ends, and include an easy to use screw for disassembly or tensioning. They are for RIGHT HANDED PEOPLE. Easy enough to hold but if you think you have fat fingers, shop elsewhere. I had no scissors led mishaps in my home trim fumbling. However, I have had better success with attempting point cutting with other instruments. Still, quite a fair pair for the price. I had other scissors that cause pain to your fingers if you hold them for too long. Although these are metal, they are comfortable to hold and maneuver at different angles for precise cutting. I now look at my old scissors with disgust - no matter how I sharpened them, they just weren't good, as it turns out. These are just great - smooth, sharp, they cut all the hair you can present for cutting. No jamming. My only concern is how long will this magic last - I'm hopeful, and for now I'm more than happy. Yes there are better out there. But for the home touch up around the ears and clipping a stray hair, these are great. All metal and feel good in the hand. They are silent, I was told by a barber once that good scissors are silent.

I got the plain metal scissors to do my son's and hubby's haircuts. These are much larger than the scissors included in the Wahl hair clipper kit, but these are much better in quality. The first thing I noticed about the scissors was the weight to them. My other Conair hair cutting scissors are lightweight so I was not expecting the heft to these. The ergonomic design is very comfortable to use. They should fit all but the widest fingers. The scissor blades cut well. The packaging states, "scissor is made of durable Japanese stainless steel with sharp blades" and "Made in China."
