    • Best bang for the Buck. Far from perfect.

I have over 20 years of experience with this hobby. I picked up this truck for my dog to enjoy chasing. It was inexpensive compared to my Arrma cars so I don't care if he beats it up a bit. The size is nice. Handles grass very well. The speed is nice for 2s. The radio is a basher radio, but it has trim and dual rate for steering. Don't run 3s. No. Don't do it. With a 35 amp stock ESC running a 1/12 scale truck? If you want to blow it up, do it. I have a receiver and 55 amp ESC on hand that I'll be installing on my next day off. I'll be curious to see how the drive train holds up to 3s abuse on grass. Will update after upgrades. Update: the truck lasted five batteries on the 3s setup before stripping the rear bevel gear. It's a 2s truck. Until I can find some better quality gears and possibly diffs to swap in there, it shall remain a 2s truck. All that said, it handled the speed and bashing of 3s just fine, including a full speed cartwheel for a good 100 feet down the street. It's a great starter truck. Takes abuse well. If HBX starts using quality metals in their gears, or slipper clutches, or both...they would be a game changer. This truck was into the 40mph range on 3s. It Kept up with my brushless Arrma Granite just fine until it ate it's rear bevel gear. No matter. My dog loves chasing it and he doesn't care if it's only running 2s 🙂 ... show more

I bought this truck (my second Haiboxing vehicle) for my wife so she could run with my son and I. Was super impressed with the build quality and handling. It has all steel diffs and drive shafts and has survived many crashes and abuse without breaking a single part. I was also surprised with how quick it is for a brushed system and attribute that to it being so lightweight. It has a long run time, especially for how small the battery is, and it came with two batteries for double the driving time. I checked the Haiboxing website and every single part is available at very affordable prices if we do break something which is very important for less well known brands like this. The last thing you want is to break something simple and not be able to get a replacement rendering the whole thing useless. Not only were all the parts available for spares but quite a few upgrade parts were also listed so the car’s abilities can be increased as my wife’s experience grows. All in all, I’m very happy with the truck and the support for it. I’m thinking of buying another one for my daughter but since it only comes in one color I think we are going to get another Haiboxing model so they can tell them apart while running together. Based on my experience with the two Haiboxing cars we have, I’m confident whichever model she picks will be a great hobby grade car at a fantastic price. A+. ... show more

My 5 year old son and I have been doing normal and crazy stuffs with this RC car. This is very responsive and so quick. After several months of bitting this joy truck to the limit, a couple of things got worn out and got damaged. I asked the manufacturer if I could purchase some broken parts. They sent us the parts for free. I feel like they have better customer service than real car manufacturers. ... show more

I use this to exercise my dog, he loves chasing and barking at it. Haven't bashed it around severely but it is holding up just fine. I like the oil filled shocks, makes for a much more controlled steering experience because it's not bouncing all over the place. It's great that it comes with two battery packs. If the battery starts getting low make sure you don't shut the remote control off and then turn it back on because sometimes the truck will get a false signal and start to take off out of control until you shut the remote off again. If you do shut the remote off, shut the truck off also do the startup sequence again. I don't have any young children around but the top speed control is a great idea for beginners. Zooms around pretty fast, fast enough for my taste. Happy with it so far, I hope it lasts. ... show more
