I did extensive research to buy the best possible flat iron, because my daughter has kinky curly hair, and I wanted an iron that left hair straight and glossy without frying it. First I bought a Babyliss Pro Nano Titanium, the ultra slim one, which was very expensive. It left her hair looking like straw, and freezed up quickly. I did more research, and found the highly rated Jilbere Nano Ceramic one...I bought ot at Sally's, well, it felt cheap, the plates didn't come fully together, and I had to pass it like 6 times to get hair smooth. Returned that one, too. Finally, I decided on the Hai because I had had one years and years ago, and was extremely happy with it, but because of reviews from customers saying they weren't built the same, and they were cheaper built now, I was hesitant to buy another one. Plus, back when I got one, it was very expensive, and now they are so cheap that it made me doubt the quality...WRONG! I just bought one of these and I am sooooo happy! This flat iron is a dream! It heats up quickly, and leaves my daughter 's kinky curly hair so smooth and shiny! It feels sturdy and looks very well made, looks very professional too.

I believe this is the same iron that my hair stylist used on my hair and was pleasantly surprised to see it for an affordable amount, unlike at the salon (I think it was selling for $180 there). The iron heats up quickly and I haven't had any issues with it yet, unlike some of the other users. The dial allows you to select the proper temperature to use for your hair type, which is convenient. It seems that allowing my hair to dry fully and then running it through the iron allows it to straighten without having the frizzy ends. So unlike some users that have used this product on wet hair, I get better results after drying my hair. I haven't plugged and unplugged the iron often and they send instructions to keep it plugged in if possible, using the on/off switch instead of fulling disconnecting from the plug to turn it off. I'm not sure if this is due to issues they've had with the plug/cord or for our convenience, although the latter doesn't seem likely; as you are instructed to unplug most electrical appliances that are used in the restroom, when not in use. The decision maker for me was that it was a decently priced model for a ceramic flat iron. I've read other flat iron complaints from melting ceramic plates, cords with shorts, to the ceramic plate falling off entirely from the iron. I figured that if I'm going to dish out $$$ for a flat iron, might as well get a good ceramic iron for a decent price considering all the different problems that can occur with them.

I've used the solia ceramic irons and my hair always did super well, but they stopped making them and mine broke. I decided to try this one since the titanium ones I tried made my hair dried and damaged. I got this one and my hair is BACK!!!! It's so silky shiny and bouncy. It glides through my hair with ease. My natural texture is 4a/3c. I've purchased super expensive flat irons from 100-250$ and this tops them all!! I'll be buying a second one for backup.

This product broke within 4 months of my purchase. It started to not heat up as much just a couple of months after I received it but it was past the return period. I don’t even use it much but about a month ago it stopped heating at all. I don’t know if it’s the store that sells it or not but I have not had that experience previously. Just writing about it now as I am having to purchase another one, but I’m going to purchase from a different vendor.

I was recommended to this flat iron by my hairdresser. I am happy with the performance when straightening my curly hair. My only complaint is I have to go fairly high on the heat setting to get the results I need.

Over the last several years, I always stuck w/ a cheaper flat iron, prob in the $25-$35 price bracket. I constantly would try different hair products, thinking that was the issue. My hair is naturally curly, and gets very big in humidity especially. After the last trip to the salon, the hair dresser used her very fancy, expensive flat iron on my hair...and what a difference!!!! Her's was super expensive, so there was not way I could afford it. But she did say that investing in a good flat iron was worth it. She said the cheaper flat irons do get very hot, but do not give off the right kind of heat, which results in damage, and less than stellar results. So w/ that said, the hunt was on to find a reasonably priced iron, w/ good reviews. After reading the reviews of this one, it seemed that overall everyone was happy. Also, the only negative reviews were that some long time users felt the product was not as heavy duty as it once was. Still, the results seemed to be ok. I looked up various lists on line for "best flat irons," and this one made a couple lists. So after reading the reviews, and seeing the sale price, i went for it. I must say that i absolutely love it!!! Whenever it would rain in the past, I would automatically just wear my hair up to not have to deal w/ my hair fighting the humidity. This past weekend, i wore it down w/ no issues!! lol (Keeping hair dry of course though). I highly recommend and very pleased w/ this product!

This is the best flat iron I've ever used. It doesn't snag your hair like some others do. It has a nice long cord so you can work with it easily. It is the perfect width to straighten my hair in about 5 minutes & I've got thick hair. My sister has thicker hair & its naturally curly & she used this & couldn't believe the difference from a 'cheap' flat iron. She was amazed that it didn't take her 40 minutes to get the look she wanted but rather 10 minutes. It has an adjustable heat setting so you can adjust it to your type of hair. I actually had a HAI flat iron before but used it just about every day for about 5 years & it finally died. I tried another brand that was less expensive to replace it but didn't like it so I returned it & went with the brand that I trust & love. I don't think you'll be disappointed with this one.
