I love the haakaa. It is a lifesaver for me, especially at night time. My little guy does not eat as heartily at night if he does in the day. While he feeds on one side I am able to collect on the other. I used to have to feed him, put him back to sleep and then pump. The haakaa lets me get back to sleep sooner which I love. I originally had the 90 ml but I went ahead and upgraded. The picture I am uploading is the milk I collected after one feeding, 4 oz. This one is a little bit harder to latch if you have a wiggly baby like I do.

It is a must have for breastfeeding moms especially in catching let downs. Easy to use and clean. Depending on the intensity of the suction which can be adjusted according to preference, I find it at times painful as the rubber rubs against the skin... but it’s no big deal. I just adjust it and lessen the strength of suction. I am able to slowly build a stash of milk in case I need to leave baby at home. I wish this was invented much sooner so I could have used it with my first 2 kids.

This pump is great! It’s such an easy way to passively collect extra breast milk at the same time as I’m breastfeeding. I know everyone’s supply is different, but personally I’ve been able to collect 3oz from just our morning nursing sessions! Also, the parts of this pump and bottle combo are compatible with the Comotomo bottles we’re using! The only thing that would make this better is if this pump/bottle combo also came with a lid for the pump to use between pumping sessions. For the price, it seems it should be included instead of a $10 add on.

I was such a fan of this product. It was perfect on the go, and when I didn’t want to be tethered to my electric pump. I have been diligent in cleaning the product and using it as instructed. Then, it stopped creating suction and I could feel air coming through the sides where the top piece attaches. I’ve been using this product for months, and was confident I was using it correctly so I reached out to Haakaa directly for help. I learned that this site is NOT Haakaa USA, but a company in China. I reached out to the company selling this through Amazon and was told, “usually the breast pump be used about 3 months and then we suggest to replace it.” I’m very disappointed that this was the feedback I was given since nowhere on the site it says it has such a short life span. Love the product, but highly suggest to make sure you purchase through the official Haakaa USA store. I wish I would have realized this.

I wanted to love this product. It came highly recommended by a fellow mom. For its ease of use and easy clean up. The product is in fact easy to assemble and use. You place it over your nipple, squeeze until you can create suction around your breast, and then continue to squeeze in order to pump. Simple enough. Having said all that, I find that I have to reposition the cup throughout the process. The suction is either not powerful enough or too powerful and I end up with sore breasts and tender nipples after use. Since I opted for the larger bottle, due to the thickness and width, it is very uncomfortable to squeeze with my hand. Yes, I’ve watched videos and read instructions on how to position and pump properly. I’ve also used multiple other electric and manual pumps in the past. Lastly, I cannot get a letdown using this pump. Using it results in painful breasts that are never properly emptied, with only maybe an ounce or two pumped total from both sides. It is an awful experience. I use this pump as a backup now and end up in tears after every use. If you are looking for a manual pump, look into the Philips Avent. Yes, there are more parts to clean, but it allows you to easily and properly position your breast, gently pump for a letdown, and then pump more powerfully after letdown. The difference in output is 5oz vs 1.5oz and it’s nearly half the cost. One positive thing I will say about the haakaa is that the bottle and nipple attachment itself is nice and I’ve successfully fed my baby using this bottle. It is the only reason I gave this product two stars. I wish I could return the haakaa and get my money back and buy another Philips Avent for backup.

Although I find this to be a bit uncomfortable to have on unless it's positioned just right, a lot of women say that it is comfortable for them. So it could just be me with the comfort. It is super easy to clean and a great option when you don't want to pump. I found that it was great to attach and then hand express as well. I got so much more milk. Definitely recommend!

I started using the 2nd generation Haakaa a few weeks ago and absolutely love it. Easy to clean, use, and comfortable to 'wear'. It's allowed me to build up a sizeable supply just by attaching it while breastfeeding. Needless to say, I expected the 3rd generation to be even better and decided to upgrade. Sadly I was disappointed - I love being able to deflate the 2nd generation before attaching, which increases the suction. With the 3rd generation this isn't possible and didn't provide increased suction for me. Also, since it comes in three pieces (flange, ring, and bottom bottle), there are three pieces to clean - something to consider if you are using it multiple times a day. I absolutely love my 2nd gen Haakaa and will stick with that version.
