Purchased two of these sweaters because I really liked the look of the cowl and classic cable knit pattern. Typically buy size L in slim fit but based on several reviews stating the sweaters ran large ordered size M instead, which proved to be a good choice. Positives: * Classic style -- looks good * Very warm -- and the large cowl totally covers the neck (see photo). Perfect for cold days and winter activities (walks, hikes, skiing etc.) * Easy to care for -- I'd suggest hand washing or using laundry bag on delicate cycle Negatives: * Runs large in sleeves and waist -- would likely be a problem for shorter people. Label doesn't recommend machine drying but I did so in a laundry bag and it came out fine * Both sweaters smelled bad coming out of package

Nice sweater - soft and not scratchy and well worth the price. I wash in warm water normal cycle and dry flat. Wore this under my shirt when it was -10 and it worked well. I’m 5’10” 150 lbs with 40” chest - ordered the large despite the web saying I needed a small and it fit fine. The tag in the sweater reads large but the bag it came in read “ size 38 XL”. Confusing

One of the better quality turtleneck sweaters I have ordered on amazon. The neck area actually fits snug, and does not look and fill like a t-shirt.

I have a small neck size due to surgery to my neck 48 years ago, so I have trouble wearing neck sizes for my chest size. I am of medium build and usually turtlenecks are just a bit too large for me and so I try to get the next smaller size for the neck to fit. I am wearing it right now and I am very pleased with it; however, it is a bit snug but otherwise fits great. I will try to order a medium to see if the neck size is ok. Right now I am very pleased with it, and I just like to wear it as a turtleneck by itself and not under other clothing. And if I need to wear something over it, I have just what I need.

The main draw for me wanting this turtleneck was the suede shoulder patches. The turtleneck fits as expected, fitting well enough to my torso without looking uncomfortably skintight. The suede patches provide a subtle accent that adorns without distracting from the garment, and offers the wearer a perfect color reference point to match with pants, footwear, etc.
