Honestly, this is worth a shot before you spend more $$$ on something else. I added an aftermarket head unit to my 99 Mercedes for Android auto, etc. I realized the stock Bose speakers and amp just weren't cutting it. 24 hours later I wired this hyanka active sub up, and BOOM. This is a fantastic little sub as long as you're not looking to rattle windows. I would put this at the same level as a *nice* OEM subwoofer in terms of power/clarity. Matches the factory sub in my 2012 X5 with the premium sound package, possibly exceeds it. It's also extremely compact and easy to place somewhere out of the way. That said, this isn't any easier to install than a traditional sub/amp combo despite what the ad says. It still requires all the same wiring as a traditional sub; power, ground, and 12v on/off signal. It's a bit disingenuous to advertise it as such when the only difference between this and a traditional sub is the lack of the foot of speaker wire that goes between the amp and sub in a traditional setup. Regardless of that, this is a fantastic little unit. If you're just looking to upgrade a car that came without a sub from the factory and don't expect show-winning performance, this is the unit to get. ... show more

I'm still giving high marks because the unit itself is likely pretty good for what it is. I wanted something quick and easy, and this just isn't that. But that's not the product's fault, however I will take issue with the way the product is advertised as if it is some sort of plug and play unit. The biggest thing - if you have a modern vehicle and DON'T already have an aftermarket head unit/stereo installed you likely WON'T be able to install this. This unit assumes exposed signal and power, it's no kind of easy DIY kit or anything. If you're not already a car stereo "guy", there is nothing especially easy about this over any other sort of traditional amp/speaker setup and I mistakenly thought it was. ... show more

That’s right I said motorcycles. I put this speaker in the trunk and man! I was bumping. It was deep bass and that what I was looking for. If I had to buy it again… I would!!! ... show more

Holy crap! I am pleasantly surprised and a little blown away on how good this little guy sounds. I purchased it to install and an RV, which if you own ann RV they are pretty much terrible. I ended up replacing all the speakers, adding an amp and a digital sound processor and then just put this sub in and I can’t believe how much it added to it. Like you, I wasn’t expecting much if you’re reading this review but I can tell you it really sounds good. It is definitely designed to fill in that low that is missing. I was definitely hesitant to buy it but the reviews from other people seemed pretty good, and I honestly did just a quick fit because I fully unexpected to return this back to Amazon and that is definitely not the case here. ... show more

A proper amount of bass (it is not two 10's and 1000watts so expectations were aligned) but it did a nice job punching up the sound in my old ski van. Ski season is upon us and black Friday happened so I gave it a chance, and here I sit in my driveway in the rain at midnight listening to music. Bass is tight and the speaker feels solid. Installed under driver seat of my 2021 Toyota Tacoma double cab. Due to the very small size I expected a little thump under my rump. But it does more than a little. It’s not earth shaking bass. But it’s clean bass. Fills that missing sound in my truck. I’m 43 years old and I don’t need that crazy loud bass. But this is just what I needed and makes drives much more enjoyable. I’ve installed many sound systems in vehicles in my lifetime so it wasn’t too hard to install for me. If you’re an adult who wants a more full sound coming from your car speakers then this might be for you. I’m very happy with this purchase. For the price and the output of this sub I’d recommend this to anyone looking for some thump in your ride. ... show more
