I moved to a new urban house and downsized my yard by more than 3x. I sold my gas mower and bought a Fiskars reel mower. It sucked. I returned it and bought a Scott's reel mower. It worked OK, but you have to mow the grass every 2 days, then it started missing blades. I returned it. Bought this and a matching weed eater. They work really well. Gas mower cut quality (mostly), lightweight and maneuverable and really easy to get going. The bag catcher works good enough. No complaints so far! This is the second one I bought. Greenworks has great products. I I have many of their 40V products plus the 80V snow thrower and leaf blower. I’m a fan for life. I’ve had the twin blade mower and really pushed it for 5 years on a large sodded lawn. It did a great job for 5 years considering the lawn was a beast. Love Greenworks! ... show more

I own a gas mower, electric and now cordless mower. This is definitely better than an electric mower but not as robust as the gas. For 1/4 acres I end up using 1.5 batteries. I bought 2 batteries for this reason. I own numerous Greenworks products and I am a big fan! This mower is optimal for low grass. The product essentially came fully assembled. If you even seen a mower before you can have this thing up and running in less than 10 min. It's two hand twisted screws to attached the handle to the base, and then decide if you want to mulch or bag by leaving or removing the plug that comes installed, it simply unclips with no tools. I was incredibly skeptical spending my good money on a "battery mower" and felt like I should just get good ole reliable gas power. I don't know much about batteries, but all I can say is they have them developed to deliver some serious power. I have a healthy thick luscious lawn, not trying to brag but it's the envy of the neighborhood, and this little guy gave my yard the cleanest haircut I've ever seen! It was so quiet I could talk on my cellphone while mowing...no joke. This maneuver also required a one handed push and the mower is so light with no engine that it was not an issue at all. If you already have the battery this is a NO BRAINER purchase. If you don't have the battery yet, I would seriously consider the 40v green works stuff for your yard needs. This lawn mower is terrible. Had to buy another battery because one battery will not last more than 20 minutes. My yard isn't that big and it went through both batteries and still had to charge in order to finish. Won't cut through thick grass because engine will just shut off. Very frustrating at the times. The height adjustment is also terrible, because the engine will shut off so you have to put it at max 6. Just keeps dropping so you have to keep adjusting. Spend the money else where because you'll end up spending just as much on a far more superior mower. ... show more

I don't typically write reviews but I needed to because like most of you reading this I was hesitant to take the leap and give this battery powered mower a go. I already own several Greenworks products and had batteries so that was not an issue. The assembly was extremely easy and took about 2 minutes to put together. No gas or oil needed! I put my freshly charged battery in and put the mower to use right away. I was able to mow my entire yard (about 1/4 an acre) with about a battery and a half. This machine is so light compared to my old gas powered mower and so much easier to maneuver. Also, it is so much quieter than what I am used to - I can finally mow early in the morning or later in the evening without disturbing my entire neighborhood. The mower did a great job and I have zero complaints. I usually dread mowing but I look forward to the next time now! BUY THIS! ... show more

It is great! I have a very small yard and it is perfect for doing the yard. Most of the time I can do the yard with one charge. However there have been some times when the battery did not last. I bought an extra battery. I was amazed at the power of the mowing. It is as powerful as a gas mower and sometimes it seems more powerful! I like that I can turn it off and on easily. This makes it easy to maximized the battery/power. It is very quiet so I can mowed early in the morning. The battery charges quickly and is easy to put in and take out. I like that the mower runs on a battery, it's cordless, and is lightweight. I don't like that the grass has to be mulched or bagged. The flap on the back doesn't stay up except when bagging. When you're mulching the cut grass builds up and you have to get the grass out of the way. There's no other way for grass to get out from under the mower except from the back. If anyone has suggestions before I sell it and buy something else, please let me know. ... show more
