I have been working out since I was 13, I am not 52. I rarely use belts these days but in recent months have been starting to lift heavy again. I have used many types of builds from powerlifting to bodybuilding belts, this particular build is very comfortable and fits well. It can be released quickly. The only downfall is that you have to completely unbuckle it to remove it since you are weaved into the locking arm. Not enough of an issue to even score it down, but thought I would mention it.

It’s a nice belt over all, feels sturdy, held up nice on my work out today. Only issue I have with it is the buckle itself. Once you loop it over and through the little sliding piece on the buckle, the slide piece will catch and it will not allow you to tighten up the belt anymore. I can still use belt, I just don’t loop over that slide piece.

I recently purchased the Gymreapers Quick Locking Weightlifting Belt, and I have been mostly pleased with its performance. This 4-inch belt is a great help in weight training. Great quality, sturdy construction. The quick-locking feature is nice, allowing for quick adjustments between sets. One minor note regarding the sizing. The instructions read "measure around the naval." While this is where the belt is worn, the sizing is based on a 'tight core' fit, not a natural fit. You have to first brace your core--"suck in the gut", especially if you have a lot of belly fat--and *then* measure. Following the instructions to the letter led to a looser fit than expected. It's not a deal-breaker, but something to keep in mind for those considering this belt.

I bought this for support doing squats. While it is easy to use and appears very sturdy, it did very little to reduce pressure on my low back. Not a fan. Probably a wider belt is needed.
