I have had this mat in my basement gym for several weeks. It is heavy enough to lay flat and not shift on the floor while using it. The surface provides enough cush for my pissy knees. It feels great on all body parts. The surface does dent while using it but recovers quickly enough. Mine has a few slight impressions from the shipping straps but nothing that affects use. I shopped tons of other options and am frankly surprised I could purchase something of this quality for the price. Recommend. Also to note, customer service, if needed should be exceptional. I love this mat! It is the perfect size for floor work (at 5’6” I can lay on it in any direction.) I mostly use it for stretching and core, and am on my knees and back a lot. I wanted it super plush so I added a piece of carpet pad under. It is great!!! Even when doing planks I have experienced no slipping. It really good quality!!!! ... show more

After buying and returning 3 different kinds of workout mat on Amazon for my HIIT, I finally found this mat. It’s definitely the keeper. It doesn’t skid on the hard wood floor like the other ones . The pair of gloves that came as a bonus is big help if you have sweaty hands.     • The Best At-Home Workout Mat for Hard floor comfort!

I wanted something to help me feel comfortable on my super hard floors while working out without equipment. This is everything I was looking for! I hesitated because of the price, but it was a great purchase, speaks for itself! I use it for all my body weight excersises on hard (porceline?) floor. It's large and spacious enough for anything I would want to do solo and doesn't hurt my knees on it or feet when jumping. Not thick enough for my tail bone, (but that's more a me problem, not the mats fault). The thickness is perfect and I wouldnt change it even if I could. Feels incredibly durable, will probably last decades indoors properly cared for. I love the texture and the light shine. It does get slippery when you sweat, the gloves they include help tremendously! I'd also recommend purchasing grippy socks to go with it. Then, I would say, for comfort, a second one (or larger) would be needed if you wanted enough space for two people to excersise together. Overall, I would say this is the best home workout mat! I bought this mat to make an area in my garage more workout friendly. I was unsure of what size to get but based on most of my exercises (most are stationary ie: lunges, squats, burpees, jump rope, box jumps etc. think BBG by Kayla Itsines or FBG by Anna Victoria) the 6ftx6ft seemed the way to go. This mat is PERFECT for those exercises. I did buy a puzzle mat to put underneath for more cushion and with the two together nothing moves or slides apart. My little garage gym is complete and I have the perfect space to work out now! So far I haven't noticed any flaws in craftsmanship but will update my review if necessary. ... show more

Why did it take so long for me to come across this item and whats worse is I took forever contemplating which size to buy for nearly 3 weeks! Thanks for the help of my fellow AMAZONers, who responded to my questions regarding this product..I was able to finally able to Add To Cart and finalize the purchase - The mat arrived and 6x6 is the PERFECT SIZE & EXACTLY what I needed with plenty of room for the barbell portion of my workout along with burpees, push-ups, etc. The mat is thick enough so that I can be rough with the bar and not worry about floor damage! Another plus is that I am able to roll it back up to store away everyday. A bit pricier than other brands, but I do not regret this buy (you pay for what you get) and totally recommend GXMMAT!! ... show more

I use this mat in my home on hardwood flooring to for my daily Beachbody workouts. I do a variety of them but all HIIT inspired or boxing so lots of burpees and jacks and jumps and twists and rotating. First off, this mat is SLIPPERY. Even after following instructions to reduce the slip-factor, when you are sweaty, or your hands are sweaty, you will fall. Push-ups/burpees/mountain climbers/etc. are impossible. Luckily, they included gloves, which aren't ideal, but at least I haven't busted my nose again. Secondly, the durability is lacking. I've had this mat less than two months and it's worn on the surface. It is only out when in use, rolled up and stored in closet between workouts, so it doesn't see but maybe and hour of use each day. It is scuffed, gouged and has black flakes coming off the mat both during workouts and when it is rolled and unrolled for use. If I could, I'd return it, but I missed my window by about 2 weeks. Hopeful that I can reach out to the company and they will replace. This was A LOT of money to pay for something that lasted a couple months and was never ideal. I bought based off the reviews. I've wondered if somehow I got sent a 'YOGA' mat to be used without shoes by mistake. ... show more
