I was.very.impressed.at how sturdy this cat house was. I especially like the "real" roof material used to help keep this waterproof. We bought the insulation kit and I was extremely happy with the quality and thickness. Definitely worth the $30 more if you live in very cold areas and have outside cats. I chose to keep the insulation off and will add it as it nears winter as we have very hot Summers. I felt adding the insulation now would make it unbearably hot inside it currently. It does have zippers to help shape it into the shape of the room, including the roof insulation! I like the two exits/entrances. Our car currently is afraid to step inside it as it's new. So I thought I'd toss some treats in there and coax her in once the rain subsided here. I did have issues with the roof lining up but once we started screwing the screws on tulip it went into place smoothly. It's roughly 4ft high by 3 ft long. This kit was quick and easy to put together... we set ours up on stones to give it a little more clearance from splashing rain, and made an awning/porch roof out of polycarbonate sheet so we could set bowls in front of it out of the rain... it has two tiers inside which you can separate or join through a lift-out floor section... plenty of room for a handful of cats to get in and curl up around each other... the rear section of the roof lifts up on a hinge to keep clean, and having an entrance above and below keeps them from feeling trapped... nice design and pleasant to look at... ... show more

I was skeptical of the quality due to the price but I was SO wrong. Packaged well with easy instructions and assembly. Quality materials. My two outside cats were hesitant at first but the first cold night had them snuggled up inside. The window is a big hit. The door flaps are still not their favorite but I keep one of the side doors cracked for them to come and go. High and dry after three days of rain. Terrific purchase! ... show more
