really nice built dog house. Pretty and sturdy. There were some smell in the wood panel. But the smell went away after a while.

Great looking dog house. It took longer to put together even with 2 people. It was worth it. Looks great, was mostly simple to put together and seems to be good quality. I’ll try and leave an update once I have had it for awhile.

I am sooooooooo thankful y'all delivered this ahead of time before the snow came...we have a stray dog that lives at work who loves her freedom and won't go home with any of us, she has toughed it out every single winter with very little. This year.....she is warm and happy, you can see it in her eyes she's so grateful. I didn't think I'd receive this in time...also, the house is AMAZING. It really does stay warm in very low temps. Overall I’m satisfied with my purchase. For what I paid it’s a decent house. PROS: Fairly easy assembly, and I don’t normally do well putting stuff together. It took an hour with two people. All the parts were there and the I instructions are clear. The dog seems to like it. She’s a 50lb lab and it looks like a very snug fit to me, but she always picks this over a bigger one we have so she must like snug. She likes to lay with her head and front paws sticking out onto the porch; that appears to be her favorite feature. She’s also a very destructive dog, loves to chew on everything but her toys, but she’s yet to destroy the house itself. The metal is probably a deterrent. CONS: It’s advertised to be an outdoor doghouse, which it is, but they fail to mention it’s not waterproof - as in it leaks. A lot. When I think “outdoor doghouse” I think it’s going to be okay if it rains. There was a gap half the width of my finger at the top of the roof, and all along the sides of the roof, basically if it even sprinkled a little bit there’s no dry spot inside the house. I imagine this also affects the warmth in the winter a great deal. To fix it I got some weatherproofing foam from a farm and ranch store and filled in every gap and crack I could find. It’s held up so far - no leaks. You need a drill to assemble. It says it’s optional, it’s really not. Most of it has the holes already there for screws but some of it doesn’t, and the wood is thick enough you’ll struggle getting it done with just a screwdriver. The insulation liner was great at first, but the Velcro wasn’t very strong. Before I could replace it my dog caught on to the fact that the liner was really easy to tear out and chew up … so that’s partly on them for weak Velcro and partly on my for having a destructive dog. I’ve just put a bunch of straw and old blankets in it and she seems content with that. Overall, this is probably the best assembly-required dog house you’re going to find on Amazon. If you don’t want to have to tweak it to fix stuff all the time just spend the extra money and buy a nicer one. ... show more
