I gave it 4 stars because I have an 8 year old and it doesnt have much support other than the usb c connector. but the dock worked great!

I had bought this with the intention of dropping the official Nintendo Dock's board inside as using it as a travel dock. This did not work out. The pin out for the connection from the board to the usb-c connector is different than Nintendo's (it is a ribbon cable about 2-4 pins short I didn't count). The ribbon cable it comes with, even if it was the same size as the official one, is too short due to how the official board is oriented. As a stand alone product I am happy to report I like the small size and travel aspect of this dock. Just be sure to know you won't be able make the official board work inside without some more major modifications to this product's case.

way better than the dock that comes with the switch. smaller profile, easier to mount and transport. charges the unit perfectly and I don't have to worry about the HDMI port breaking

Maybe it does 1080p with older switch models, but with my OLED switch it would only do 720p so the picture was all fuzzy. It's still more convenient than the included switch dock for travel and it works great for Samsung Dex though.

Purchased this dock to allow easier support for a slim case. It doesn't support a case any better than the original dock. It isn't compatible with a case at all. That said, I kept the dock because it was still much smaller and easier to connect. The problem is that this dock also has unreliable video output. About once an hour or so, the screen will go black. Pausing the game allows the audio to still be heard. In 10 seconds or slightly more, the video will turn on as if the dock had been swapped to charge mode and back. I would assume it was a faulty switch, if not for the audio. In terms of replacement docks, this is potentially one of the worst. Rather than adding new features, you are forced to trade reliability and compatibility for a slight size decrease. It's hardly worth the price for that.

The media could not be loaded. This is a great second dock for my Nintendo Switch OLED. It works just as good as any dock, but it’s so much more portable. I’ve had no chugging or latency issues. It’s very easy to plug your cables into due to its small, simple design and it even has a magnetic cover for the USB-C nub that plugs into the switch so it doesn’t get broken off while you’re traveling. Another interesting thing about this dock is you can charge your switch and still play it in portable. There’s a toggle button that allows you to display your screen on the tv or keep in on portable mode. Also be aware, you do need to have a Nintendo Switch brick wall plug in addition to this dock. This is due to the fact that Switch docks require a certain voltage and some non first party plugs can potentially brick your system. Overall this is a very affordable option for a dock to take traveling or even a replacement Nintendo Switch dock. For as small as it is, it works incredibly well and even holds up to demanding games on a 75 inch tv

The goal was to make more room on the entertainment center which the dock accomplished. It excels at transportability, but if you remove your switch from the dock it can become a nuisance. Placing the switch back on the dock takes a bit more attention to line up correctly and do as to not scratch the switch or damage the port. Wouldn't recommend for small kids. Place where it won't be bumped, as there's obviously very little to hold up and secure the console. Other than that, it works great and looks much cleaner than the original Nintendo dock.

It works. This dock must be plugged in to work. It needs a Thunderbolt charger but is not compatible with the Switch charger. This dock does not allow the screen on the Switch and the screen on the TV to play at the same time. You'd need a different dock for that. Still a cheap purchase for a working piece of equipment. Just make sure you have all the other cables you need.
