Given the prevalence of plastic, I've started evaluating how much we use plastic, especially for food storage - or more specifically, reheating. These containers are heavy-duty glass and have withstood the banging around in our kitchen. The size is perfect for a single serving or storing left-overs. They clean easily and stack well. The lids are much more secure than I expected. These lids are as secure as or more secure than the plastic containers we've used for years. They are heavier and will take up more space in your cabinet that the same number of plastic storage containers so plan ahead. I highly recommend them and plan to buy more. ... show more
