  • Great Vicious Game
Platform For Display: PlayStation 4 Edition: 2-Pack Bundle
Guitar Hero Live 2-Pack Bundle - PlayStation 4 This is by far the best GH Game I've played. It has real crowd reaction that cheers you up when you're rocking and boo you when you're being sloppy. The new mechanics of the game is way different than it used to be. Now it has two lines of 3 buttons; black and white. This can make you feel like your actually playing a real guitar and if you're not used to move your fingers like a guitarist you will have get used to it FAST because to be honest, who plays GH in normal speed? It's divided in two separate experiences. Guitar Hero Live: lets you player the single player of the game and Guitar Hero TV allows you to go online and choose what songs you want to play at a cost of Game plays, you can either pay money to get plays to choose one song in particular, o you can just play the Single player to get them, I've used most of the game content and haven't spent a single dime in it. It also have Music Channels where you can play the songs they play infinitely. you can also put down your guitar and the game will remove the Highway and act like a real music channel and listen to music whenever you have friends at home. Overall is a very good game and will recommend it to anyone to like to play music and to be honest I'm not a very rock person but if you give me a guitar and music I'm definitely down for it. It came with: Two guitars with a 2 Two-Pack AA batteries Physical Game A $10 Dollar Bonus to spend on the GHL store ... show more

  • Ok game, but the guitars are way too unreliable
Platform For Display: PlayStation 4 Edition: 2-Pack Bundle
The game is ok, but beware of the controllers. My wife and I don't really have that much time to play, but we both grew up playing video games, so I decided to buy this since there are not that many 2-player games available on the ps4. The game was ok, but after playing it a few times, the buttons started sticking. Unfortunately, since my wife and I don't get that many opportunities to play video games that often, we didn't realize the buttons were sticking until after a few months. Now we cannot return or exchange the guitars. We just have 2 guitars and a game collecting dust. I wouldn't waste your money on this game. There is a reason why guitar hero and rock band are going extinct. The games may be fun, but the controllers for these games are too unreliable. This isn't the first guitar hero that I have purchased that had a problem with the guitar. ... show more

  • Awesome Guitar Hero with some little flaws
Platform For Display: PlayStation 4 Edition: 2-Pack Bundle
Is the new Guitar Hero Live worth its money? I think well worth, yes! Is it all perfect? Not in my opinion. With the new Guitar Hero you get a (finally) very good visual update, the graphics....well, it's not really graphics anymore, you will play during real music videos.....are very good. I like this a lot and think it was more than about time to make this step. The new controller is just awesome! The new style and layout fits perfect and makes much more sense and of course more fun playing. What I never really liked (all Guitar Heros), is the loud sound of the strum bar. But now the buttons are much more quiet and as mentioned the feeling is more like a real guitar. The offline Live mode is a lot of fun and the first person view is a all new experience. While playing this mode you unlock 40+ songs, which you can play afterwards as often as you want, alone or with friends (second guitar + microphone optional). The online TV mode is also a very nice idea. 2 music channels playing 24/7 and you can join into every song whenever you want. Playing this will unlock a lot of customization stuff. And you always see how you are doing compared to other people playing the same song at the same time. Also in this mode you can earn or buy Plays, this gives you the option to play many many songs from a regularly updated/added online list.....this though is kind of a negative point in my eyes. On the one side doing it this way you will be updated with all kinds of new songs the whole time, but you never own such a song, once played you have to invest another Play to get it again (maybe in the future you can actually own songs). My last negative point is the all over given playlist. You have a lot of good songs to play, but also some songs I would never put in a Guitar Hero (and never were).....Rihanna, Skrillex, Eminem and so on, really not what I want in a Guitar Hero, but I guess they try to reach a bigger audience....well, getting rid of those and getting there for some (still missing) real classics would be so much better! So, on the bottom line you get a real good Guitar Hero with well welcome new ideas and style. Alone or with friends playing with you, or even just watching one after another is great fun and I even would go that far, that it is the best Guitar Hero so far (if the playlists gets some more good rock songs, for sure). In our days the internet is everywhere, so it is just natural Guitar Hero made this step. The playlist could be better, but you also don't know what is still coming online. Earning or buying the Plays to play just what you want from the online list is not the best solution (in my opinion), on the other hand these 2 music channels are not running for free 24/7. Guitar Hero Live gets well earned 4 Stars! And for me this can go up to 5 with more and better songs.....also it could drop to 3 stars if they would release a lot of crap in the future. So far I also had absolutly no problems what so ever with the software, hardware or server connection. ... show more

  • We are enormous fans of this franchise and have been so sad its been gone for so long
Platform For Display: PlayStation 4 Edition: 2-Pack Bundle
FULL DISCLOSURE: We are enormous fans of this franchise and have been so sad its been gone for so long, so this review may be a little bias but if you like Guitar hero, you should just go get this. If you need to be sold on it, keep reading. So, just got Guitar Hero Live for PS4 with two Guitar Controllers. The button layout is way better and more fun in my opinion. You dont have to rely on that gimpy pinky finger, you get to use your strong fingers and its more challenging because there are more combos, while still being more fun. The game play is; you on a stage, with the band. Its super intuitive and if you start sucking, everyone starts reacting accordingly and when you nail it, its very seamless in the A.I. and how the live actors transition between "Yeah you rock!" to "Dude, whats wrong with you!?". The entire crowd is the same and some of the hot girls in bikinis are distracting, but pleasantly so. It has plenty of douchey dudes for the ladies in your party to ogle as well. Nothing is inappropriate in my opinion so you can enjoy with your kids friends parents after a couple beers...This one is fun, hands down. If you're some cynical little teenage crap, you may not like it. If you're into good music, good fun with your family and friends, acting silly playing this, then buy this and enjoy. UPDATE: Ok this review was pre GHTV experience. So GHTV is gonna wreck my life its so addicting. I wont explain what it is, there are plenty of sites who have done that. All I can say is, they really got this right. My ONLY gripe is there is currently no Tool songs AND I would like GH to release the old versions for DLC (World Tour was epic, we want it back!) ... show more

  • Guitar Hero Rocks!
Platform For Display: PlayStation 4 Edition: 2-Pack Bundle
Purchased this product for my husband for his birthday. We have the PS4 version. This game is awesome! The guitars that are included in this kit are much different than those from the earlier Guitar Heroes that used to be popular. There are 6 buttons. Three on top, and three on bottom. If you play the game starting as a basic, you just have to strum. If you play as basic, you only use the top three keys. As you progress through the game and change the difficultly, you use all 6 of the buttons in different variations. You can also download an app to sing along with this guitar hero game. It's awesome! I would absolutely recommend this to a friend- especially with the price for TWO guitars. ... show more

  • Guitar Hero alive or Dead ?
Platform For Display: PlayStation 4 Edition: 2-Pack Bundle
Product came in good condition and arrived on time as for the game... The guitars feel out of shape and odd with the controls being on top of each other instead of on the side like most modern guitar controls. Another aspect is the music feels too modern to pop song-wise it's not an issue if you prefer the modern day music. But when I think about guitar hero I think rock classics and even some modern day rock is good but most of the selection feels out of place to me. Multiplayer is fine it plays well from what I tested and the online service they had was a good addition offering a wide selection of music feeling like a radio station and you're the artist. In the end, I would say buy this game if you don't mind the new music and okay with some of the classics going away but the controls kinda hamper the experience. It can be fun to play to play the online service so there are some good sides but doesn't feel like the guitar hero we are used to. ... show more

  • Super Fun!
Platform For Display: PlayStation 4 Edition: 2-Pack Bundle
I pre-ordered Guitar Hero Live and got it a day earlier than it came out! Very different from traditional Guitar Hero but I think that's why I like it so much, it's new and fresh and keeps me wanting to get better. The song list is a bit disappointing, however. Some songs are much too mellow for this type of game and I found myself bored by playing a few songs during career mode. This is balanced by GHTV though which offers a much broader song selection. There are a few songs that get hyped and the crowd goes wild which was a really fun experience. I found myself getting hyped as well and replaying some of the concerts. Overall, love the new controller, love the "real" fan experience, and love the variety this game brings. ... show more

  • Go buy Rock Band instead
Platform For Display: PlayStation 4 Edition: 2-Pack Bundle
You need to pair the guitars to the USB dongles. Unlike say Rock Band where they are just Bluetooth. If you buy the two pack, good luck remembering which dongle goes to which guitar. You can't buy songs, to play over and over, it's more a jute box situation where you buy plays. The good news is you can earn them in game. The bad news is you have to play whatever it throws at you to get them. The controller disconnects repeatedly, so the game puts up an error message, but the notes keep coming. New batteries didn't help. Clear line to the dongle didn't help. The thing just doesn't work. You can't calibrate the game manually. At best you can let it sort of figure it out on its own. At best, it suggests putting the TV in game mode. Calibration was a well-established technique back in Gen 7. ... show more
