Build quality feels pretty sturdy. The main piece everything connects to has a lot of weight to it. On carpet at least, the chair feels extremely solid/sturdy. Nothing feels cheap about it. I kinda dislike the high-gloss black finish used on the cushion. Shows finger prints/oil/etc easier. Would far rather matte black. Personally though I haven't had this finish cause any issues. I don't find myself slipping off of it or anything like that. So, I can live with it. This stool does sit pretty high. It is basically useless for my standard height tables ( 29 inch height ) But it's very nice for my workbench -- The reason I bought it, which is 41 inch height. This is a review of the Workpro Hydraulic Shop Stool. Assembly was easy enough. Unlike other similar stools, it did not include any tools so you'll need a socket set. Based on its target audience, this is probably not a big deal. It took about ten minutes to assemble. Once completed, it was fairly solid. No movement at all when I sat down which made it trustable. My only real complaint is that the seat is super shiny and slick. You will slide off. Maybe this is to prevent dirt or oil from sticing to it, but it's so slick that I will add some grip stickers at some point. ... show more
