  • Exactly what I was looking for !
Color: Camo
This blind is nice. The bug shield screens are noisy because of the Velcro attachment but otherwise it’s exactly what I was looking for. Blends in nicely with the woods I hunt. Big enough for a chair, a cooler and a heater. All that’s needed for a hunt. I don’t know about water repellency. It’s purpose is to hide me, not keep me dry. Easy and quick setup. Instructions are a little vague about folding it to return it to the backpack style pouch but I’ll worry about that at the end of the season. ... show more

  • Easy to set up and take down
Color: Camo
Im a 100% disabled combat veteran, this hunting blind is lightweight, easy to carry, easy to set up and easy to take down. Normally I avoid these folding blinds because I struggle to get them folded back up to fit in their bags.... this one was easy, almost able to do it with 1 arm. Looks good, as all ground blinds, the more time you set setting them up the better they look, quality seems to be good enough for the price, I can't attest to it being waterproof, but it should be. ... show more

  • Will no more next year
Color: Camo
Nice looking blind. Seems to be high quality but i will know more next year when I use it as deer hunting is currently closed where I live. The price seamed reasonable compared to other blinds. This comes in a bag with shoulder straps for carrying on your back. The blind doesn't seem to be too heavy. ... show more

  • Works as good as the fancy ones, but I can afford this one too!
Color: Camo
This review is for the Guide Gear Huntrite Deluxe Hunting Blind - I really like it. The deer still see it, but they don't know what it is. It covers my movements and gives me a chance to watch and perhaps shoot without being out in the open and in the weather. paired with a 5 gallon bucket seat gets a good height for me, but I'm 5'8" and practicing with using only part of the velcro for the windows before you go out helps. I would suggest, as with any tent, to spray it down with waterproofing if you need it to keep you dry. I was out in light rain and it did fine without the extra spray - but heavy rain - dunno. As other reviewers have said, it's hard to get the pegs to keep hold on the loops. I ended up using different pegs that I could tie to the blind tie downs, the wind kept blowing it up and off of them. Maybe a prussik knot through the tiedowns an onto the peg might work. ... show more

  • Seems OK but roof poles too difficult to install, returned
Color: Camo
I ordered this to use as a photo blind for wildlife/bird photography, not hunting. Upon receiving it, I set it up once in my driveway as some reviews mentioned difficulty with the roof poles. Those reviews were right on--this design needs a serious rework by the manufacturer. The blind pops open easily enough but to get the full height, you have to insert two fiberglass poles into corner pockets in the roof, o/w the roof sags down making the center height much less. I'm a 5'3" female with upper body strength & I struggled to get both poles into the end pockets. I was very nervous I would either tear the pockets or much worse, the fiberglass poles would break/shatter which could cause serious injury! I did finally get them inserted & I wondered if insertion might get better with use plus I thought they would be easier to remove--nope. It was even harder to get them out & I really thought the poles would break as some had reported! I also thought that for photography, the windows were too small. The door is large but the windows aren't which would limit photography angles. It is reasonably lightweight. I can't speak to whether it is waterproof or not--I tend to doubt it as you can see daylight thru many of the stitching holes. Folding it back up to fit into the carrying case was easier than I thought it would be--I followed the diagram/instructions exactly but there was no way I was going to wrestle with those roof poles so I returned it. I've used other blinds that pop open completely & don't need supplemental roof poles so if I decide to try another one, I'll look for that design. ... show more
