  • After assembly, rain fell, rust appeared within two weeks.
Rust appearing soon after assembly. Need better undercoating paint and primer paint.

I WAS GOING TO BUY THIS LADDER A COUPLE YEARS AGO BUT DID NOT LIKE SOME OF THE REVIEWS STATING THE SECTIONS OF LADDERS DID NOT LINE UP CORRECTLY..WELL..I JUST RECEIVED THE LADDER A COUPLE DAYS AGO..I TRIED TO ASSEMBLE IT..AND..I FOUND OUT ONE SECTION OF THE LADDER WAS TO NARROW TO FIT THE OTHER SECTIONS..I TRIED TO REARRANGE ALL THE SECTIONS TO SEE IF IT WOULD FIT..NO GO..SO..I SLIDE THE NARROW SECTION IN BETWEEN THE WOODEN STEPS AT MY SIDE DOOR AND BENT IT OUT A LITTLE..CHECKED TO MAKE SURE THE WELD WAS NOT DAMAGED AND THE SECTION FIT..ALSO..ONE OF THE BRACES THAT BUTTS UP TO THE TREE WAS WELDED WRONG AND LEANS TO ONE SIDE A LITTLE..I THINK IT WILL WORK O.K. ON THE FIRST SECTION OF LADDER CLOSEST TO THE GROUND..I HAVE NOT YET PUT IT ON A TREE BECAUSE ALL THE TREES IN MY YARD ARE LEANING BADLY...SEEMS TO BE A STURDY LADDER..I GAVE IT 4 STARS DUE TO THE FOR MENTION PROBLEMS. ... show more

  • Generally good, but needs ratchets.
1) Requires significant assembly -- you will need a socket set and wrenches. Easily takes an hour to prep it. 2) The straps are not ratchets, and are very hard to tighten up -- the ladder will move around a little bit. The straps are also quite long, so you'll have fluttering streamers. 3) Only wide enough for one boot, so plan which foot you'll step off of onto your stand. 4) Was rather hard to hang the treestand, as you can only stand on this ladder with one foot. I'd recommend tying a tree strap around your tree above the height of the tree stand, running a rope down to the stand, and pulling the tree stand up to your level, then tying it off. The one-footed nature of the ladder makes it hard to reach around the tree and balance while holding the heavy stand. ... show more

  • sticks
Its sturdy and does what its supposed to do. Only downfall so far its been out only a month and its rusting. I've had stick last 8-10 years with rust already i dont see these lasting more than 4 years

  • Mini 20' ladder
This ladder is pretty good and sturdy but it is difficult to hand on to while putting on a lock on stand. I finally winched the lock-on stand up with a come a long and it worked out great. 20' is plenty of height to get above the smell of those white tail deer and feral hogs that I often pursue. I would recommend this ladder to anyone who may have the smaller type lock on stand. Mine was large and bulky so I had to come up with a way to make it work. A full size ladder may be better for larger stands. ... show more

  • Safe and secure!
My son is a little leary of some of the climbing sticks that are on the market today. My Father saw this one and suggested it to me. I went ahead and bought one and BOTH my son and I love it. It is extremely secure, especially if you buy regular ratcheting straps for it. We've combined it with a safety line and harnesses and we both have never felt so secure in climbing. ... show more

  • Great ladder, cheap straps.
Ladder works great. Nice and sturdy. The included cam buckle straps were a little loose and difficult to get tight enough, so I replaced them with ratchet straps for a more safe and solid mount to the tree. Would have been 5 stars if not for the cheap straps.

  • The ladder is very practical and easy to assemble
The ladder is very practical and easy to assemble. It does the job but I'm afraid IT WILL NOT LAST VERY LONG. Only after 2 weeks of being installed all the screws were rusted and the ladder itself showed several rust spots. I have applied grease to the rust spots in hope that it will last longer.
