The foul weather jackets I usually wore commercial fishing were heavy and bulky. This jacket is just as durable and weatherproof, but lighter, with great flexibility and a soft, comfortable lining. I ordered this jacket in XL and the Bibs in L. At 5’10” and 235lbs the sizing worked. I like that I was able to get the color I wanted and that the coating is really quite flexible. I also like that the Bibs do not have a fly. They definitely keep you dry from exterior elements however expect to sweat on the interior. I put these on for a 1/2 mile mid winter walk in the pouring rain and they kept me dry and comfortable. They are not stiff like other rain gear.
