Two fast, easy-to read windage caps are included with every scope, so you can tailor the Competition to your style of shooting. The Competition incorporates ED glass, for superb color contrast correction and high resolution. A remarkable 92% light transmission, approaching the maximum ever achieved in any scope. Fast-focus European-style eyepiece. Just 27.8 ounces in weight - 24% lighter than our 12-42 x 56 Benchrest, and over 20% lighter than our former 12-42 x 56 NXS scopes. The list goes on. Side parallax adjustment from 25 yards to infinity. Hi-Speed windage and elevation adjustments of .125 MOA, positive and repeatable over a lifetime of use, now standard with ZeroStop. Style: CTR-2 Reticle
The optics are excellent, very clear with excellent light transmission. I shoot F class and this scope, with the CTR-2 reticle (a dot on fine crosshairs) is excellent. The 1/8 MOA windage and elevation adjustments are distinct clicks, by feel. I notice that this scope is defined as a “hunting” scope, that is not true. This scope is designed for bench rest and F class shooters. Because of the small dot and fine crosshairs it is not appropriate for hunting, you likely would not be able to see the dot or crosshairs. ... show more

This was the best scope purchase i have ever made. I've known about their reputation for quite awhile but just could not bring myself to pay over $2300 for a scope. I own several in the $800 - $1200 range, all good scopes but there is just no comparison to the nightforce, the clarity is amazing. After zeroing it on my Sig Sauer SSG 3000 (a rifle that deserves this kind of scope) i did a slightly modfied box test to check the mechanical quality and repeat-ability. I used a center aiming point on 4 connected 8" boxes and moved the reticle 8 moa around the 8 corners of the connected boxes and was within 1/2" at every junction, and then i got silly and just started randomly moving the reticle around at 4moa and 6moa adjustments and the scope tracked perfectly returning to zero every time, my center aiming point ended up being a quarter size hole after 40 shots around the boxes at 100 yds. Don't tell nightforce, but if i knew this scope was that good, i would have paid more :) ... show more

They didn't tell me it had to be signed for (I was very unhappy about that). Scope is nice but don't know how you see anything with that high of power, I still can only use 25 power at any range. I wouldn't buy again.
