These were so easy to set up and were up and running within minutes. It comes with the wall plug so you simply connect the wire to the USB socket located on the plug and simply plug it into the wall like any other household plug. The telescopic pole is a nice touch that allows for easy height adjustment. I am very happy with this purchase and plan on buying a few more for my plants that are in spots that don't have access to enough natural light. ... show more

    • HOW TO HOOK UP TO SMART SWITCH

The media could not be loaded. In case you're wondering, they do not turn on as soon as they're powered. You need to click the button. So a smart switch won't work with it... at first! You can take the casing apart, and use a thin strip of ducttape around the ON button, and it will be on as long as it's powered. The on button is the one closest to the USB plug. It's literally like hardwired to the wall. But what about intensity? Well if you want it to be alwags at max power, then you don't have to do anything! If you want it at the min, you can tape down the minus button as well, and it will have a cool vanishing effect when it turns on (see video) What about medium intensity? This was super easy to set up, I do wish the cord was longer as it’s hard to plug in for plants on shelves/tables etc. so far, my plants have done okay but haven’t really thrived like they do in real sunshine. Each day it comes on at the same time and off 8 hours later. (Has several different times you can set, and higher light or lower). Love it so much, I ordered another for my other houseplants.
