These are labeled for indoor growing because they are not waterproof. Since I have tried many different grow lights because I hybridize tropical plants, I will tell you this: the amount of light needed for indoor plants varies considerably depending on the kind of plant. A majority of the indoor lights sold on Amazon are not as bright as most indoor plants need. All indoor plants can handle as much light as indoor lights provide so I would suggest that you choose lights most according to reviewers saying that they are bright because then you know that they will be bright enough for all indoor plants if placed closely enough to the plants. I ordered these particular indoor lights because they have a stable base. They also are the perfect height for me for the seedlings that I am growing under them. If you are relatively new to indoor plants, I can tell you that if you must raise the lights to stand straight up, the plant’s leaves will stretch toward, and all grow in the direction of the light. So, optimal growth for the plant occurs when the lights are placed above the plant as they are with this product. The other thing to consider is if you have room to put the base of this grow light. This base will fit on most areas but not all. The other reason that I ordered this grow light is because they have lots of LEDs which results in stronger light. You can see the strong light in the photo I provided for you here. These are convenient, easy to program, take up little space, stand up by themselves with the strong base, and there are 2 lights when with most products you just get one. This is a very nice set of grow lights from GHODEC. I really like the circular shape of these as opposed to the long thin shapes of other grow lights. There's a place for each kind. These measure 3.5" across and contain 45 white LED's and 16 red LED's for each pod. A total of 90 white and 32 red for a grand total of 122 LED's for the entire fixture. The power supply included with the light is rated for 5VDC @ 2.4 Amps or 12 watts of total power. On max brightness (level 5) my measuring device and it shows it drawing 1.85 Amps @ 5.15 VDC (9.5 watts). The power supply will most likely not survive past a year or two with heavy use. This needs at least a 3 Amp USB power supply to operate efficiently. This has 5 levels of brightness. Simply dropping it down to level 4 it draws 1.49 Amps @ 5.15 VDC (7.7 watts). I'd recommend using at this brightness level or upgrading to a 3 Amp power supply. The stand is kind of wobbly, but should be fine if you set it up and move it as needed. It has a telescoping handle like a mic stand. This will add about 7" of height if you need it for taller plants. There are 4 timer settings in which the color of the LED on the switch changes showing the differing modes. RED = stays ON 4 hours, OFF for 20 then back on GREEN = stays ON 8 hours, OFF for 16 then back on BLUE = stays ON 12 hours, OFF for 12 then back on ORANGE = stays ON 18 hours, OFF for 6 then back on I like this light other than the iffy power supply. I needed some grow lights for some of the taller plants that were not on shelves so needed a free standing light and this does a great job. -It came in well packaged and everything was in great shape and accounted for. -The timer function works perfectly. I have them set for 8 hours. They stay on for 8 then shut off on their own then the next day turn back on for 8 without me having to remember. I do like the color changing light so you can see what it is set on. -The brightness functions work perfectly. Overall I am very happy with how these are working out and grateful for the worry free added light that my plants need. ... show more

I ordered this grow light for my ever expanding succulent collection. Most succulents like a lot of light, so this very bright grow light is perfect for them. Also, the two grow lights can be used together or separately, so the grow light can be used for more than one plant. The 1,000 lumen strength is just what my succulents need to live their best lives. The grow light was very easy to set up and start using. I like the sturdy 3 prong base that is adjustable and the telescoping pole. The timer is also very easy to use. I recently purchased the Grow Lights for Indoor Plant, 6000K Full Spectrum Plant Lights for my indoor garden, and I'm quite happy with the results. The dual ring design is compact and fits easily into my space, and the height extendable feature from 9 to 16 inches is very convenient for accommodating different plant sizes. The full spectrum lighting seems to be doing a good job in promoting healthy growth in my plants. The auto on/off timing function with 4/8/12/18-hour options is incredibly useful, as it allows me to customize the light schedule without having to manually turn it on and off. This has been a real time-saver. However, I did notice that the lights aren’t the brightest. While they are sufficient for my small to medium-sized plants, they might not be powerful enough for larger or more light-demanding species. If you’re looking for a high-intensity light, this might not be the best option. Overall, despite the brightness issue, these grow lights have been a great addition to my indoor gardening setup. They are functional, easy to use, and provide the necessary light spectrum to help my plants thrive. I ordered this grow light for additional indoor plants we're growing. The lights seem fine and it seems to work so far but the base is kinda so-so looking. It's a different style and less aesthetically pleasing but I can't say whether it's good or bad vs tripod or other style bases.
