I generally buy single origin coffee from local or small roasteries, but I saw this one and decided to try it. It's better than I was expecting, especially for the price. Somewhat complex and the roast level is not overwhelming.

I didn’t enjoy this coffee. While I wanted a light coffee I still wanted flavor. This coffee has very little flavor. And the flavor it has was not nice. It was strange/weird. I made two pots thinking I made a mistake in the amount of coffee needed. I have had Ethiopian coffee before and enjoyed the experience. This coffee not so much.

Ethiopia: 4/5 Great aroma with a fruity taste. If you've only had cheap pre-ground coffee, this is a solid introduction to the pleasure that your caffeine experience could be. These beans produce a cup that is refreshing without the need for Mexico: 3/5 I like the aroma the coffee gives off when it's brewed and the mild taste but that still doesn't justify the price. Better than pre-ground coffee but not the best value for your money. Papua New Guinea: 2/5 I took a risk trying this one. The bag says dry-spice and pipe tobacco which sounds like a manly scented candle. I definitely tasted a smokiness when brewed but it ended up reminding me of burnt coffee too much. If you like cigars it might be worth a try. Overall, I would not buy this flavor again, especially since I can buy better elsewhere for a fraction of the price.

This purchase was my first venture into a single origin coffee been. I used both a French press and a chemex to brew. In the past I've stuck to wherever dark roast beans I could find at the store. So I was very surprised by the flavor of this medium roast. The coffee had a floral/ fruity aroma and flavor. It was jarring at first, but I grew to really enjoy the unique flavor. I highly recommend this coffee to anybody wanting to try something different then the coffee you've had for your whole life. I look forward to trying Groundwork's other beans to see what other flavors I've been missing.

It’s organic and good taste. It’s medium roast, not burnt. I like it in whole bean and for me it’s better than ground.
