(Specifically for those between sizes like 36–38)? The Max Leather Belt is the only style in our lineup that runs a bit small. If you fall between two sizes (such as 36–38), we always recommend sizing up. Can the belt be trimmed or adjusted manually? No, the Max Leather belt cannot be trimmed. To adjust the fit, open the hinge, slide the webbing to your desired length, and close the hinge to lock it in place. A sliding button allows for micro-adjustments throughout the day. How does "Stretch-Tech" work in a leather belt, and how does the stretch/durability compare to standard leather? Unlike standard rigid leather, our "Stretch-Tech" is built directly into the full-grain leather webbing. Quality and appearance are both great. As to sizing, my waist is at the break between medium and large so thought a large would be the better choice. It turned out to be too big so if you if you measure at the break I’d suggest the smaller size.

    • I may be buried wearing this belt!
I got mine in 2020 and it was automatically a game changer and I've been telling friends and family about it. It's SUPER easy to put on and take off. I got mine oversized just in case I get fatter than expected while aging, but it has a piece on it that keeps the excess tucked away nicely. Since getting mine, I've gotten one for a brother and my father as gifts and they became instant hits. Both have also told others that they are the best belts they've owned. On a more practical note as well, if you are in a bathroom emergency, it only takes pinching each side of the buckle to undo the belt, so it's almost instant when you need time the most and as long as you overlap the two ends when buckling back up, it will set itself so it's good for the lazy, too. ... show more

This is a nice looking belt and easy to snap on and off. I ordered larger because my size was not in stock- but you can trim the longer belt to fit a smaller size. The belt is fairly comfortable and does the job of holding up your pants. Once the fit is set, the belt stays that size until you readjust... which is what it should be like, however depending on the type of pants you wear, you might need to readjust each time you wear different style pants.     • The GL belt is worth ten regular belts
I've had trouble finding a good belt for years. They always fray, lose their stitching or just break in half after a while. One of the problems with regular belts is that the buckle is secured using a pin that goes through the belt itself, which creates a weak point and eventually will widen or tear through completely. Everything about the Groove Life belt is different. It's sturdy: the tough nylon doesn't slip, it doesn't crack over time like leather does, and the buckle is a hook/latch system that doesn't wear out, unlike traditional belts. The buckle clasp mechanism is easier and more efficient than regular buckles and can be opened and closed quickly with no effort (great for airport security checks). I thought they were expensive at first, but when I put it on for the first time and felt the magnets click into place I knew all my other belts were fired. Two years later, I can't imagine going back to regular belts. ... show more

I have fairly extreme back pain, broken back with rods almost throughout. I am as active as I can be. With leather belts it hurts to bend or stoop down. This belt holds perfectly moving around and stretches when bending and or down on my knees and bending down. I've experienced less pain since switching. Also the magnetic hook had me wondering about functionality but it works perfectly and is easy to clasp and unclasped. ... show more
