  • omg my skin!! LOVE
So I had been hearing about red light therapy for awhile and my facial lady recommend it as an upgrade to my facial service and I love the results , and the relaxation with it, however the up charge at my spa was a lot so I thought hey why not do this at home! So I looked around, researched and landed on the GroomieHer mask, I loved the eye and lip cutouts and that I could wear it and still move around, although most of the time I just lay in bed LOL Any whooo I am loving the the results on my skin after just short time. It looks more "fresh", rested and glowy! I can't wait to see after months of use!! I'm 53! BTW ... show more

  • Different than OmniLux; not sure which is better
I have the OmniLux Contour and the OmniLux Clear. I wanted to try a LED mask that has all the light functions in one. First off, the price point on the Groomie is more affordable and has more skincare functions. Second, the insertion point for the power cord is reinforced which I appreciate as I already had my first OmniLux mask fail because the internal wire broke at that exact part of the mask (OmniLux kindly replaced it as it was still under warranty). Third, i can get many more sessions in on one charge on the Groomie. Fourth, the head strap is so much easier to adjust than the OmniLux. Last, the Groomie travel bag is so luxurious compared to the OmniLux (which is cheap and gets pilled and disgusting looking...OmniLux should be embarrassed with an almost $400 price tag). Those are the things that I like about the Groomie more than the OmniLux. The things I don’t like as much: the literature says “the eye shields is applied to prevent the LED light being used”. What does that mean? And “to keep your eyes closed as much as possible”. The silicone eye shields that don’t really do anything all at (the light is just as bright with or without the shields and the shields aren’t super comfortable). So is this mask NOT safe to use with your eyes open?! The OmniLux mask IS safe to use with your eyes open. The Groomie mask never gets warm. The OmniLux mask does. Does that mean the Groomie mask is not working? I don’t know. OmniLux is really the pioneer in LED for skincare so I trust their product more but I’m so intrigued by these newer masks that have multiple skin functions. It’s so much more convenient for travel and cost effective to buy one mask that does it all but I want to be sure it’s effective and safe. The charging directions on the Groomie don’t make sense. My indicator light does not turn red when charging and it does not turn amber when fully charged. The light is always white. The voice prompts are very helpful but they are loud (my family does not appreciate that during movie time). I have been using my Groomie mask more often than my OmniLux these past few weeks but I still can’t say which I will prefer using in the long run. I think efficacy and safety is most important so I may go back to the true and tested OmniLux just to be safe…unless I just keep my eyes closed 😌 ... show more

  • Easy, portable and comfortable!
The media could not be loaded. This mask is truly one of the most comfortable LED light therapy masks I have ever used. I love that it’s portable and I can walk around my house doing the things that I need to do or relaxing and reading a book with it. It’s so easy to use and with its voice guidance it helps with understanding which setting I should be on. It’s a great product!! ... show more

  • Quality NIR & color light therapy mask
Overall, I think this is a pretty good near infrared light and color light therapy mask. There's a lot of pros and cons to it so let's just jump in! So first off, it's made of a flexible, yet sturdy rubbery plastic. So it's fairly easy to wear once you get it in place. The only issue is that, because it's flat, you have to choose if you want to use the near infrared light on your forehead or your chin for each session. Because with the near infrared light, you want to have it directly on your skin, and this only is against your skin at the top or the bottom since there isn't a curve to the mask. But this seems to be the standard design for other models that are on the market right now, so you just have to choose, do I want to work on my forehead or my chin today? And then the next session you work on the other! Does it actually produce near infrared light (NIR)? I'm not a physicist, or scientist, or whatever it would take to figure out if it's actually producing the light it's supposed to since near infrared light is not visible. But, it does produce heat when it is on, which is similar to other near infrared light products that I use and I know are working as advertised. The actual use of the mask is really thoughtful. What I mean is the controller speaks. Yep, when you push a button it vocally says what button you pushed and what settings you put in place. Because when you have the mask on, it's difficult to see the controller. So that is a really clever feature. The inside of the mask has an easily cleanable transparent surface. And the manual recommends for you to put a product on your face while you are using the light therapy. So you can slather on your serums, aloe, or whatever you would like so that you get a higher absorption rate. I was primarily interested in the near infrared light, but it also has other colors of therapy that you can use for acne, relaxation, or recovery. I don't have too much knowledge into the color therapy so I'll leave you to do your own research. ;-) I'm all about the NIR! I also appreciate that the timer is set for short time settings. I always wonder about products that have 30 minutes settings for near infrared light because that is way too long and negates your therapeutic exposure. This has appropriate time settings, which tells me that the manufacturer actually knew what they was doing and made a product in alignment with current therapy methods. I'm guessing a lot of people are looking at this and are considering giving it to their loved one as a gift, and this is ready to be given! It comes in a box that is presentable and ready to go. It also includes a sack to store the mask in, but the box is so nice with a magnetic closure that I'll be storing it in the original box. The instruction manual is thorough, and understandable. So really you have everything you need to get going with your light therapy. As I said, I have used various near infrared light products, and I really do think that the price point is in alignment with this product. And yes, you look really silly while you're wearing it! But to me, that's just part of the fun. Of course, if you use the NIR therapy then it doesn't produce any light, so you don't look quite as silly...just a different silly. ... show more

  • No Noticeable Results
After using the mask on all different frequencies, over a period of time; I did not observe any real changes in skin appearance or feel.
