- [Easy to install] - Easy to assemble in the pellet grill. Plug-in wiring, took only about 10 minutes to replace. If you're uncertain how to replace the rod, look it up on YouTube. For Better Performance, Set the new Hot Rod to protrude 1/8 to 1/4 inch into the fire pot.
- [Mounting Instructions] - 1.Remove and save the screws from the old fire pot. 2.Rotate the fire pot 45 degrees so the corners point outward and are not parallel to the auger anymore. 3.Lift the outward flang (away from the auger) of the fire pot to pull the part up and out from the auger tube. 4.Replace in reverse order using the new screws if they fit. If new screws can't work on your grill, please use your old screws.

My 6 year old Costco Traeger got upgraded to a Costco Silverton and wanted to give it to my son. While cleaning I noticed the fire pot had a big hole in the side. I'd been having some back burn problems, maybe this was a contributor?? Tried to order a replacement online with Traeger. The "representative" couldn't find his butt with both hands and while on hold I found this set on Amazon. Didn't specifically list my model but the measurements seemed right. Took a chance and it fits just fine. The Hot Rod fired right up. Don't know about longevity, but seems well made. Quite a bit cheaper than the Traeger OEM, if they can even find a part and get it to you! The screws didn't fit so keep the old ones. They work fine. I included pics of my unit for reference. I followed the Traeger YouTube video on replacement where you remove the hopper. Some have said you don't have to, but then you will have to crawl under the hopper and try to cut off the zip ties to access the Hot Rod connection. PITA in MHO. Take the hopper off, really easy and you can check other systems while you're at it......

Replaced my old worn out Fir Pot with this new ceramic pot. It's working like brand new and was imply easy to install. Just kept the original screws and I did replace the hot rod and had to adjust it. But it works like a charm. No more excessive temp swings and always a steady cook. 5yrs so far of owning my pitboss pro 850 and now I get to see how many more years I can get out of it.
