  • So easy to use, does a great job, perfect for a smaller yard.
Size: 21" Mower
I love this mower! It cuts and mulches very nicely. Easy to put together. Easy to start. Height adjustments made simply. No gas or electric cords to get in the way. It has a second storage spot in the battery compartment for a spare battery so when the first dies, you can easily swap it out and keep mowing. I have a relatively small yard and the battery does the whole yard plus some for the next mow. I recommend getting a large spare battery to have ready to go. Eco friendly! Not very loud for a mower and easily maneuverable. ... show more

  • UPDATE - BATTERY LIFE as an issue for this CORDLESS mower - Greenworks is replacing the battery!
Size: 21" Mower
UPDATE: Company stands behind it products and warranties. Greenworks is sending me a replacement battery, recognizing that the one received with my product is faulty. Product and charger are working - expecting battery replacement in 10-15 business days. I was on hold for 45 minutes; but one I got the support agent I understood why. They have you test and explain how you are using/starting equipment, etc. while on the phone so they can effectively help with the correct issue. So be patient if you call in. (OLD REVIEW) I bought this mower in April 2022 to use on a very small patch of grass (130 sq ft only) and have only used this mower 5 times. I followed the new instructions to the letter, left the battery to fully charge before using it. It never would fully charge. Of the 4 charge lights, I could only get it up to 3. Now 5 uses later, it only charged to 2 of the 4 lights this AM when I took it off of the charger. After mowing today a mere 130 sq. ft., it was down to 1 charge light, which means even 2 lights did not fully charge when it was on the charger. I believer this company must make a killing off of selling replacement batteries; because where does this leave me? The mower has worked great for me the mere 5 times I used it; but it is cordless. So now I either buy a new battery or a different mower after a mere 3 months of use. Ridiculous! ... show more

  • Great Mower, just a bit heavy
Size: 21" Mower
I bought this as a second mower to my Skil cordless. This mower is much heavier, but does have the ability to up the speed when cutting much higher/tougher grass. This does cost more battery so it does not last as long as my Skil. My Skil is very light, cuts great and the battery lasts much longer than this mower. It is powerful, but is harder to move around and load in my truck. Great product non-the-less. ... show more

  • Amazingly capable, convenient
Size: 21" Mower
I started with a 14" push power from Greenworks, dipping my toes in cautiously on an open box bargain to see how it went. It went much better than expected, so I upgraded to this unit and I'm very pleased with it. Other than the obvious cutting width difference, let me tell you some of the functionality improvements on this one compared to the 14" -It holds two batteries-- doesn't auto switch, but much more convenient than having to run back or carry one with you -It will store upright with a convenient pull of a couple tabs on the handle -It has a "full width" handle to keep the unit running while pushing. This was critical for me. I have some right hand issues and needed to be able to "share" that duty and the 14" has a handle only on the right side to keep it running. This was a big relief for me and improvement over the 14". -It has a much more reliable deck raise/lower mechanism than the 14". The 14" with heavier use would pop off some plastic piece under the deck meant to raise/lower it. If you pushed into some heavier material to mow it could pop the 14" down a deck level or few. This one has that mechanism in the back, so these problems aren't faced. This mower is very capable, and far lighter than a gas motor equivalent. I don't even need or miss self propel feature because it's so light and easy to maneuver. Fully satisfied and fully recommended. You won't regret it. Promise. ... show more

  • Changing my review
Size: 21" Mower
My smaller and older mower went kaput this summer. It was Green Works and I’d had it for a few years. It worked great in my yard and I could mow almost my whole yard in one battery. I have sort of a fair weather yard that tends to pool rainwater a bit so grass grows and often I have to wait a bit to let it dry out. A long mow takes two batteries. With the old mower. I upped my mower with this bigger one but it appears to eat my batteries. I’m not done with my small front yard and I’ve gone thru 2 larger and two smaller batteries. I’m still not finished. I have not gotten to the back yard yet. This mower is much heavier, harder to maneuver. AND is absolutely ineffective in that my batteries lose charge within a few minutes. I have a few green works machines so I have numerous batteries fully charged. Well I did anyway. I regret spending more for this bigger mower. I’m really disappointed with its performance. I also accidentally ran over Nick the snake, so I’m mourning him too. About five years ago I met Nick, who went by Nicolas at the time, while cutting blackberries. I accidentally cut Its tail off. I was mortified of course. The following spring I spotted what appeared to be a full tailed snake, not Nick, in another part of the yard. Moments later Nick too made haste. I was happy to see the two and renamed the pair Nick and Jessica. This year I noticed their point of ingress/egress to the under-well of my home. We’ve a mice arrangement. Nick isn’t a substantial snake but he sounded substantial this morning. And now I have a Jessica snake totally unaware Nicks not returning home tonight. I checked the snake parts and saw the smooth nub of his nick. So it’s definitely Nick. Please take a moment to mourn the loss of the mighty mouser and pest killer Nick. He did a wonderful job. May Jessica forgive me and May she find new love. I’ve only ever seen the two snakes, so i don’t know if there is a pile of teaming orphans Jessica must contend with. It’s all a lot. I’m very sorry for your loss Nick. The tail part 5 years ago and for all the parts you needed to function as designed today. All of the yard mourns you; the crows Mr and Mrs Kim and their soon Tim, the Bunny Bunch, and of course it goes without saying…Mr and Mrs Impossumable. ... show more

  • Love the size and lightweight ease of use - dependable
Size: 21" Mower
I’ve waited to write this review and have had this for 2 seasons now. It never lets me down and works like a dream. No dealing with gasoline for me anymore and it’s a game changer. Charges in a reasonable time and love that it folds to stand for easy storage. Also lightweight which I appreciate. Worth every penny and I’d recommend for sure. ... show more

  • Good mower battery dead on arrival
Size: 21" Mower
I have been using battery mowers for over 20 years and a mixture of gas and corded electric before that. This mower performs well. I opted for the steel deck version as it was the most basic overall design. I don't need lights and other bells and whistles. I would however like the option of having the extra battery storage being wired too so that when the primary battery dies the secondary kicks in so you have uninterrupted run time. Battery life is impressive though. The motor has no problem with tall grass the torque is impressive as well. I would definitely recommend buying this mower. It is heavy so if that is a concern you may want to opt for the plastic deck models. I'm giving three stars because out of the box the included battery was defective. It will not take a charge. I have other greenworks batteries and chargers so I was able to use them. I will contact support to see about getting a replacement battery and if that goes well will update my review accordingly. ... show more
