  • Excellent Purchase
This plant/log combo arrived in excellent condition and has been very healthy for the last six weeks that I’ve had it. I was concerned about possible snails (as I always am with aquarium plants) but I have not had a problem. I was also skeptical about how it would hold up with shipping but it arrived in perfect condition with nice dark green leaves and nothing to contaminate my tank. As with any aquarium plant, make sure you add the proper nutrients to your tank. ... show more

  • excellent condition
a beautiful plant in excellent condition. It is doing well and I love that it is attached to a piece of wood. I have bought "potted" plants and plants attached to substrate and I like the substrate for ease and appearance. Well worth the money

  • Gradually falling apart!
I have many wood pieces with plants growing on them in my aquarium that I have purchased from various fish stores & none of them have fallen apart! I purchased this piece 1 month ago & when I received it I was impressed. It even had alot more leaves than as described. However, every 2 or 3 days I find 1 or 2 leaves which have rotted off at the base of it's stem & have floated to the top. It seems as though there is only one established plant & the other 2 plants appear to have been leaves just glued onto the wood. I've paid half the price at the fish store for this type/size of wood/plant. I give it 3 out of 5 stars because it looks like at least 1 of the 3 plants look like it's going to live. ... show more

  • I thought this was going to be a waste of money, but it was exactly what I wanted!
The anubias on this piece of driftwood is thick and lush. The roots extend below the driftwood. Mine has several different plants. I was expecting only one w 10 leaves. Mine has about 20 -30 leaves. It arrived early, so I wasn’t expecting it. I was afraid it cooked in the sun. It was packaged well so it is fine. I would recommend this item to anyone. ... show more

  • Anubias Nana 10 leaf+ plant
Absolutely amazing piece. This one is bigger than the size of your hand, and The Roots protrude from the bottom so you can bury it in the substrate. Don't have to pre-soak just rinse, after inspecting snail and insects free. Definitely would buy again. Update i still have both in my 45 gallon tank, such a great plant ... show more

  • Died pretty quickly despite routine care
This Anubis piece came and was MUCH larger than I expected. Like it’s three clusters of Anubis cuttings, packed in moss that are planted in a very large 6x3x2 solid block of rectangular wood with three holes drilled in it. The piece of wood it was anchored in was HUGE and very dark in coloration (like black when wet) and the plants were beautiful when it first showed up. Within a few days it became clear not all of the stems had rooted form being transplated, those stems dropped off and floated to the top.. ok, to be expected not every cutting roots but typically if I’m buying a clone of a plant I expect those cuttings to be rooted. At that point still a beautiful piece. Only two of the three clusters of cuttings rooted, one clearly didn’t root at all and all the stems cane out except for two. I pulled that one out... no roots except for two little cutting with small ones. I put that in another small planter and put it back into the tank and hoped for the best. The other two clusters seemed to root at first and I had hope... Over the next week or so the plant got leaf rot or something... all the leaves started getting soft at the junction of the stem and breaking off. Then finally all the plants got what looked like spots of some sort of white mold and I just accepted the plant wasn’t going to live. I gave it plenty of liquid Co2 everyday (appropriate for the size of the tank 3.5 gallon tank) and plant nutrients, it also had a light.. I’m not sure why it died. I sort of figure maybe it was just too much plant for the size of the tank? I’m really not sure. I admittedly have only ever had low tech easy aquarium plants, this was my first Anubis and I thought Anubis was supposed to be low tech too... but now all I have to show for the purchase is a very large piece of wood with three holes drilled in it. I ordered another plant at the same time and that one never even showed up. Would love the connivence of ordering plants for aquascaping on amazon.. but so far haven’t had any luck with the orders from this source. ... show more
