Description

Big Rooms in this Tudor mansion. The Harrison uses movable partitions to create up to nine large rooms. Six beautiful bay windows make the interior wonderfully bright and spacious. Five full window boxes are ready to fill with your own tiny flowers. Change the silk or plastic floral arrangements (typically available at your local craft store) with the seasons for an authentic touch. There is even a hidden roof panel leading into a secret third floor studio room with French doors opening onto an elegant terrace. The diamond patterned windows complete the regal picture. The all-wood dollhouse goes together with tab and slot construction that requires only glue to complete assembly. Unpainted and unfinished, you can decorate, paint, wallpaper, and furnish this heirloom-to-be with your own personal taste and style. This all wood dollhouse comes unassembled. Shingles, Siding and Paint are not included. Miniature scale is 1" = 1' or 1/12. Assembled Dimensions are 38" W x 25" D x 31" H. • Easy to Follow Even for a Beginner
This was my first time putting together a dollhouse kit. The instructions are quite detailed with enough visual aids to not get confused when certain pieces start looking the same. Go slowly...it was my first time so I got a little excited and started gluing some of the base pieces together before painting them and well...it's a lot easier to paint before assembly (lesson learned). I would say it was a fun and rewarding experience putting this together and the pieces are pretty sturdy unless you really snap something apart. Obviously, this still is a $180 or so dollhouse kit, so for the price I think the quality is way above expectations, but if you want top of the line, you need to pay many times this. For my purposes, this suited me. Out of all of the Greenleaf kits, I like the amount of rooms includes...if you use all of the dividers, you could turn this into a 10-room house...and then the sky is the limit with so much space...I have residential rooms and a church, bar and cafe inside my creation. I've also moved this thing around so many times I've lost count and it is very sturdy to a little abuse...I would just watch out for the balcony as that tends to be the most fragile part...but nothing a little hot glue won't fix ... show more

  • The Harrison
Love this doll house. Easy instructions and assembly. I built it and changed it to my liking. Exterior paint and interior staircases were altered for my preference. I’d encourage the purchase.

  • I made do with warped and splintered pieces.
The media could not be loaded. My grandma built this about 50 years ago and I wanted to build the same one. For $200 I guess I expected a slightly higher quality of house wood. Most pieces were warped, bent, splintered, and broke easily, but I made do and was able (after wanting to throw it into a busy street a few times) to create a beautiful mansion, inside and out. I decided to not use the stairs and buy different ones (already assembled and much better quality) from Hobby Lobby. I also used my own double-door and the window/shutters above it to give it a more modern/airy feel. Overall, I doubt that I'll buy again from the Greenleaf brand (I've built four of their houses and had the same frustrating issues with most of them). ... show more

  • Huge doll house that's worth every penny
This is my 2nd doll house build. The house is very sturdy with instructions that are easy to follow. I added extra trim work inside and outside of the house, painted as I went along which made things easier. I'm not finished yet as I'm waiting for shingles to arrive. I definitely am happy with this house. ... show more

  • all the wood was badly warped
all the wood was badly warped. because of that nothing will stay together. horrible purchase. huge gaps.. etc... so make sure you buy a gallon of wood filler. you'll need it

  • Beautiful, well-constructed dollhouse
This is a beautiful dollhouse and quite large. Greenleaf is a exceptional dollhouse maker since 1947. Lots of details and it all has to be put together. These houses take a lot of time so do not be discouraged. We bought this for a Christmas gift for our almost 10 granddaughter and our son is gluing it and will probably help out with all aspects of it. Buy glue! No shingles are included either. It is going to be s project for a long time but that is okay...one room at a time. ... show more
