The media could not be loaded. F0R THOSE WHO LEFT A BAD REVIEW: It takes days for the water between the glass and film to dry, until then the window will appear cloudy. When the sun hits the window, 50% of the heat and UV light is absorbed which makes the film visible. The film is the thickness required to do the job right. Once applied it will bond to the glass over time. The cling factor allows for permanence yet is easily removed even years later. However this "cling" means never ever let.the film come in contact with itself during application. In the long run the nightmare of removal of films with glue backing is thankfully avoided. ..time over a year and we are very pleased. My wife and I learned a few essentials as we went through each window large to very large. FIRST we keep the paper backing on until the film is applied onto a drenched window with water and a bit of dish detergent. SECOND: Before using the "swidgy" we drenched the outside of the film. It's easy to slide it into position and the water on the outside makes it easy to push the bubbles out. THIRD: We then use the small stiff squeedgy to move the water to the outer edges of the film. There is always time to pull the film away in areas to spray more solution. If the film backs onto itself and lounge just pull up and separate no problem. FOURTH: We discovered that cutting the top and sides to size make things much easier. We leave an extra inch at the bottom which is easily cut off. We did our last eight windows 27×27 in less than twelve minutes each without a flaw. The right cutter is essential since the film is not set yet....don't spare the blades!!! ... show more

August 31, 2020: I bought this for my car instead of my home. I bought my car with all but the driver and passenger side tinted (stock). I decided to add something to keep out the summer heat and for sun protection. I think I bought the 50% tint to make sure I was still within legal limits - this worked great. I wasn't sure if this would be enough for the summer sun but it was. If installed correctly, the film is pretty clear but not perfectly clear like you would get from professional film and installation. There's very little blur and once it dries (using spray technique), it stays on really well when rolling windows up and down if installed on the inside of the window. The next day at lunch, my car was barely warm doing all the usual of cracking the sun roof and adding the windshield shade in addition to the added tint. Believe it or not, the tiny made a difference. The car is usually in need of cooling down at lunch but I didn't feel an urge to immediately turn on the A/C. I drove a bit without the air conditioning to see if it was tolerable and it definitely was. I was able to do it myself and my sister liked the results enough to want to do the same for her car. I highly recommend purchasing an installation spray kit for this because it will make the results so much better than if you don't. I tested dry application and alternative sprays (not installation quality) and both were sub par; you may end up getting bad results like other users without the installation spray kit.     • Tint works well but cutting is tricky

If this is your first attempt at instalking tint watch some you tube videos. My first attempt with static cling tint and I found that the material does not cut as easily as the adhesive styles. This is because it is a rubber like material. Cutting to size was best done with scissors. I always cut it larger and trim to window to cover any nonstraight cuts. When trying to trim the material would bunch in the corners. Had to hold taught and trim with razor. If you have the room and a method to hold the material straight you could try cutting to size. Installing on the window was simple and easy. Some soapy water and slide into p,ace. Squegee away liquid and holds well. This product had enough to do two large windows. The film is pretty much what I expected however it CANNOT be used on non-tempered Low-e glass!!!! It would have been nice if they had included that in the “ABOUT THE PRODUCT” near the top of the page instead of 2/3 of the way down the page with the installation instructions!!!! Most RESIDENTIAL windows ARE non-tempered Low-e glass!!!! Useless, it will be returned! ... show more
