I got new bed frames for my daughter's and they say they don't require a box spring because it had the wood slats. The separation from each slat was pretty wide and my 6yr old made the wrong move and broke a slat. I was so disappointed in the make of the bed frame but got to looking for an option to save it. I found these bunkie boards and they saved her bed!! It already comes assembled on the 2 pieces. It was so easy to put on her frame and it definitely gives the support needed. I don't have to replace her bed frame all because of this bunkie board. I highly recommend these boards for all frame sizes especially if the slats on the frame aren't many or wide apart.

Huge box (queen) arrived today, but not too heavy for its size. It comes in two pieces split vertically down the middle. I have a wooden bedroom set from Bob’s, so it looks nice but it’s cheaply made. The horizontal slats have either come loose on one side, don’t all have a stand for support, or are just so cheap you could break them in half over your knee. My mattress is less than a year old so I shouldn’t be in this much pain when I wake up in the morning. I lifted one side of the mattress, slide the board under, then repeated on the opposite side. Fits perfectly. I jumped on my bed and finally realized what my mattress SHOULD have felt like from the beginning. Supportive, and the same level of firmness that I expected when I purchased it. My dogs, 20-25lbs, jumped on the bed and I didn’t realize it because the mattress didn’t bounce up and down slightly like it usually does. So far so good.

The product is well made and will hide the slates, but I need to add a filler in between the two. The actual measurements are: 59 3/8 wide together, 79 2/8ths long. My bed is 60 1/2” wide for the mattress. Other wise, it is what I wanted. Going to get a spacer for between them so the mattress doesn’t get distorted. Update: Improvised

I remove 1 star because it’s smaller than full size. Each piece is 26 inches wide, total is 52 inches, so… 2 inches short. Or maybe they designed it that way? I don’t know, but with 2 inches gap when I lift mattress up to change sheet the boards move, and I have to arrange them again. I’m thinking of using some piece of wood to fill the gap, keep the boards staying still.
