I’m not one to write reviews often, but this blanket has me up late at night wanting to share my personal experience with everyone. I’ll be honest, the thought of a “weighted blanket” at first seemed like a gimmick and I was extremely skeptical. First off, I am a fan of Kickstarter products - but I promise I am not biased. I did tons of research and decided to bite the bullet on the infamous Gravity Blanket. Before sleeping with a weighted blanket I dealt with some major sleeping issues. More than anything, I was having frequent panic attacks and anxiety episodes while trying to fall asleep. Nothing seemed to help, melatonin, meditation, nothing. Every night it was the same tossing and turning, elevated heart rate and shortness of breath. I turned to the Google’s to find some sense of relief and comfort and someone online recommended trying a weighted blanket. First thought when I opened this blanket was, wow this thing is heavy. “How am I ever going to get used to sleeping under it?” Second thought was “this is high quality and so soft.” It did take some getting used to. The first few nights it did feel weird. Almost like I was stuck in quick sand. After a few nights, I started noticing all it took was for me to put my phone down, roll over to my side, take some deep breaths and BOOM, I was out. It’s been about a month now - my sleep has never been better. My anxiety issues at night have almost completely went away. My sleep quality has improved (less waking up) and my snoring and tossing and turning has went way down (according to my partner). Here I am currently, laying under the blanket, feeling warm, relaxed, typing this review for the internet to read. In a nutshell - this gravity blanket has done more for me than any pill, breathing technique or therapy session could have done. I hope sharing my personal story with everyone helps at least one other sleepless person dealing with similar issues I dealt with.     • Expensive but excellent quality that’s great for light sleepers and couch nappers
This blanket was quite the holiday gamble for us. We got it on sale for $175 in early December, which even for $75 off at the time felt like way to much for a blanket. We buy a lot of throw blankets and even our favorite Pottery Barn Blankets aren’t this expensive. This blanket is smaller then I realized. It’s skinny which I assume is to apply all the weight to one person. Not great for snuggling with but its possible. Even shorter memebers of the family wanted a little more width to help with curling into. Length is okay but I wouldn’t mind a tad more. The material of the Duvet cover is super smooth and great for naps or rubbing your face into. It just feels good and we’ll probably never change the cover if we can avoid it. The weight feels really good and has helped my wife finally be able to sleep through some of our noisier neighbor’s 4am Bass jams or me waking up early to roll out of bed. She’s a super light sleeper. So while doesnt stop her from waking up to poke me for snoring, it happens a bit less now. Its also a great for laying on the couch in cold weather and napping blanket. Its super legit. I’d be hard pressed to buy another at $175 but if it went lower go maybe $125-145, I’d be tempted to get a second for other members of my family that loved it. ... show more

Although it doesn’t fit my full queen size bed, it’s perfect for myself as I have another blanket for the other side. I’m single and this size is perfect for me. I’m 5’9” and 200 or so pounds and this 25lb option feels amazing. It literally feels as your being snuggled and it’s a pretty awesome feeling to say the least. I’m tickled a friend recommended this item to me as I suffer from sever anxiety and panic disorder along with insomnia and this blanket truly helps with these conditions. I was in doubt when purchasing the Gravity Blanket due to the price but I have to admit it’s well worth the money spent. I’m glad I made this purchase and it’s super soft as well. If you aren’t my size, I suggest getting one not as heavy but the 25lb is recommended for my size and whatnot. If your looking for top quality and great comfort, I suggest you make the investment and purchase yourself one. I made the comment it doesn’t fit my queen bed but it’s designed for only one person I believe and looks great with my other blanket which I don’t use but just have it for show on my bed. I use Sheex premium sheets too so it’s like heaven on Earth when I lay in my bed with this wonderful and amazing product and my nice premium sheets. ... show more

    • Amazing. I don’t know how I ever lived without it.
My wife is always complaining because I have so many blankets but I like to sleep warm and with heft on top of me. I had heard about gravity blankets but never considered them until I saw the Lightning Deal for Black Friday. Wow! First of all, the quality of this blanket is excellent and semi-high end. The color is neutral and handsome and the weaving is subtle yet strong. The size is a tad smaller than a twin bed. The first night, I slept amazing and wasn’t sure whether or not to credit this blanket. Then the second night was great and then the fourth. I am not a great sleeper. This trend continued and it has to be related to having this heavy blanket. You have heard the term “Security Blanket?” This is it. I carry it around the house like Linus so I can read with it on and everything. The weight is well-distributed and it just works fantastically while looking good. If love to have heavy blankets on you while you sleep, this is an A+ Two thoughts: This item is more expensive than others. Not having those, it’s tough to know if it’s worth the extra amount so keep that in mind. Also, look at the chart for recommended weight vs. blanket weight. The recommendation is for my weight to have a 20lb and this one is 15. Although the 15 works great, I ordered a 20lb because I think that will be perfect! ... show more
