  • The Feel of mechanical, the performance of hall effect
Color: Neon Graffiti Size: V75 Pro
I love this keyboard, but there is one big issue: The software. With a mechanical keyboard the software is just kind of optional. Maybe there is reactive RGB or something, but the keyboard works just fine without it. To really make any use of the advanced features of a hall effect keyboard, you have to use software to set it up and adjust it. Take it apart and mess with the foam, and it needs to be re calibrated. Change out the switches, and so on. The thing is that the web based control is actually really good! Looks good, works great. But you don't own it. If Gravastar no longer hosts it then it is gone. There is downloadable software... But Windows Defender is really sure it has a virus. If someone from Gravastar is reading this: I love your products, but please fix your software! That said, the keyboard itself: It is a chunky boy! The frame seems to be the same casting as the K1 Pro series, but it has a full metal bottom plate and it makes the K1 Pro feel like a lightweight. That is pretty impressive considering the K1 also has two big batteries on board. It is extremely solid and rigid feeling on the desk. I am not sure what exactly the process for painting the frame is, but you can feel the "spatters" so it may really be painted. It seems very high quality but I can't speak to the durability. The keycaps: These are pudding style keycaps with dye sublimation tops. It means that the front sides and back are frosted clear that allows the RGB to shine though, but the tops are not. Compared to shine though doubleshot keys caps, it does mean that they can be harder to read in the dark. Ironically the really busy style of the Neon Graffiti style has very bold white labels which makes it much easier to read then a lot of the more conventional styles. Typing feel: It is great by any measure, more so for a hall effect keyboard. It is very comparable to high end linear mechanical board. I would compare it to the K1 Pro with Speedy Mint switches. The springs are maybe a bit more progressive but overall the feel is similar. The sound is a bit more thocky and doesn't have the same sort of crackling ice effect when typing quickly, but it is a really nice feel and effect. Gaming: Software issue aside, great! All the good hall effect stuff. Faster response time then measurable. The key travel is very tightly configurable. Macro layers and so on. (Please just fix the downloadable software!) RGB: This is mostly preference I think, but I like the effects of the pudding keycaps. It is very bright. I like the "flower" effect (seen in the pictures). But that's just me. ... show more

  • Elite Performance Keyboard; Fast, Smooth, and Stunning Design
The GravaStar Mercury V75 Pro HE is hands-down one of the best gaming keyboards I've ever used. The 75% layout is perfect, compact enough to save space but still has all the keys I need for gaming and productivity. The Hall-Effect magnetic switches are unbelievably smooth and responsive. Keystrokes feel fast, precise, and consistent, and the 8000Hz polling rate makes inputs instant. It’s a noticeable upgrade from traditional mechanical switches, especially for FPS gaming. The build quality is fantastic. The semi-aluminum frame feels solid and premium, and the cyberpunk aesthetic is gorgeous without being over the top. The dual-zone RGB lighting looks clean and vibrant, and the hot-swappable design is a great bonus for customization. If you want a high-end gaming keyboard that looks amazing and performs flawlessly, this one is absolutely worth it. Highly recommend! ... show more

I was a little hesitant to purchase this keyboard because it is tenkeyless, and I mainly use it for work, but I don't regret my decision at all. The whole keyboard feels durable and is made with quality parts. I couldn't be happier.
