Just used GPW to clean some oil/grease that dripped from the chairlift lift cables onto my new bright orange parka during a wet snow storm at Mammoth. Didn't know how bad it was until I got home. There were small black dots on the hood, back and shoulders. I used the GPW directly undiluted with a toothbrush and let set for about 1 hour before washing. I did 2 wash cycles, one with GPW and another one with just water to fully rinse clean. Hang dried. The spots came out really clean. Most are 100% gone and only a couple I can barely see, if I get with an inch or two. Worked great for me and will use again.

I love how this cleans my Gore-tex outdoor clothing. I have been using for years. I do hate the bottle and the cap. and this detergent / soap - will stain / etch real marble Tile. Unfortunately the bottle / cap configuration is totally poor design and it leaks constantly on my marble bathroom floor. The cap has a paper spacer / sealer against the bottle rim - and it stinks or eventually disintegrates and fall out. They tell you to use the cap as a measuring cup which also makes for a leaky sloppy bottle. Ok yeah I am a bit uptight but this is an expensive product, and and the cap is totally underwhelming in the design department. - I would redesign this bottle and cap to match the performance of the actual soap.... This may sound petty but my $0.70 bottle of isopropyl alcohol comes in a more leakproof container and I would be fine if you just said use - 5 ml or 1/4 cup or 1/8 of a cup - and I can measure it out. Or go with a proper leak proof Landry cap like every other major brand has (with water tight seal and a drip free spout). Thank you.

It is not promoted to be used on down comforters, but I find it is the best thing... there is no lingering odor and the down turns out nice and fluffy after drying with dryer balls... very gentle. If you wash down comforters with regular detergent the feathers clump up and do not dry properly. This doesn't do that. VERY HAPPY with it. Have purchased it several times. I wash my down comforters about 3-4 times per year... obviously I change and wash the duvet covers separately and more often! I am sure you could wash down pillows with it (if they are washable). I wash the king/queen comforters in a GIANT front load HE washer in my basement and I don't use the measuring cup lid on the detergent bottle for this purpose, I use the liquid detergent dispenser and fill to the proper line for detergents per the load size and this works perfect. DO NOT ADD fabric softeners when washing down!!!

Just treated my LL Bean Gore Tex rain jacket. Jacket had totally lost its capability to repel water, water did not bead up at all. Per online Googling, I shouldn't have been using regular laundry soap to wash the jacket. I used the Grangers Performance Wash, sent the jacket thru on medium water temp, max soil and extra rinse. Then immediately sent the jacket thru the wash again with the Grangers Repel (medium water temp and max soil, no extra rinse). Water did bead up on the jacket after drying (in dryer), which was an improvement. But I sent it thru the wash a second time with the Grangers Repel (same settings) then tossed in the dryer on medium heat and one setting above normal dry temp. The jacket felt a bit stiffer (more coated) than after the first Repel treatment. Water beaded up again, but I believe the second treatment added more water repelling capability. Looking forward to trying it in the rain!

I’ve used Sport Wash for years, but I thought I’d try something different for my breathable. I can’t notice any difference as far as breathablity. I will say Sport Wash is better (subjectively speaking) at removing grease and stains. Several of my garment had different types of grease/oily spots that I pretreated and the detergent had no effect. Again, I’m not saying this product is junk, because I didn’t set up a controlled experiment between this product and Sport Wash; for me, the cost difference isn’t worth it. The other chuckle point is the 50ml measuring cap is poorly designed and messy. Mine showed up cracked (still h2o tight though) despite a massive amount of those “packing pillows.” The h2o seal for the cap is created by a paper gasket that kept falling out with each pore and is now really soggy. I suspect I’m not the first person to mention this poor design and I expect a little more attention to detail on higher end products. I can’t imagine that anyone but elite athletes would be able to notice a difference in breathabality, so after this I’m going back to Sport Wash. At least the measuring cap isn’t garbage (despite it having a paper gasket as well).
