Stout little shovel. Size like old Army when assembled. Add a little misleading as one image shows accessory's not included with basic shovel. Locking ring on head gets real tight. Had to use channel lock pliers got loosen it back up first time. Good product. Haven't had to use it yet but sure it will be more than adequate. Would buy again. May get another to make for longer handle. ... show more

I’m extremely impressed with the fit, finish, and presentation of this shovel. When it’s disassembled in it’s carrying case, you can basically store it anywhere... easy to stash in case you need it, which I promise you will if you’re doing even a bit of camping. I know for sure the serrated edge of the shovel would saw/cut and the “blade” is sharp enough to get a lot done, as well. Super easy to set up and to fold back in to its carrying case but with the way this thing is made, I hate to have it hidden. This seems small at first. But that is the point it all stows compact and small and will fit into small places awaiting the rare chance you will need it . Because of its size you may need to shovel twice compared to a larger shovel. but with this compact size its worth buying and stowing for that one time you need it. I spent 2 hours chopping branches and small trees with no problems. After a digging a few rocky holes, it sharpened right back up with a steel. I really like the feel and functionality of this shovel! We like to camp and cook over fire so it has definitely made a difference with it's durability.
